Good question! I do this. Meaning I listen to my heart more. I think it's all in personality. I just feel really guilty and bad if I think I should do something because it's the right thing to do and then I don't do it. It will tear me up inside thinking about it. Maybe we have more of a conscious. I don't know, that's just what I think.

When people say this, what they really mean is that they think that decisions should be made on what your emotions are instead on what you think the best course of action is based on your logic and reason.

Personally, I think that this is a recipe for disaster! For example a person might feel the emotion, anger, about someone and then justify punching them by saying, "That's how I felt. He deserved it!" Instead of listening to their logic and reason that may say how much in trouble they could get into by doing this or that just because they feel angry, that it doesn't mean that the other person did something wrong.
