Let me first state that I have never supported the decision to invade Iraq and I think Bush's administration has been a disgrace, but I have to wonder...

..the Democrats seem hell bent on getting the troops out as fast as possible. As a Democrat, does it concern you at all that this would completely strengthen the resolve of Islamic terrorists?

Didn't osama make statements even prior to the attack on Iraq suggesting that the US has a history of running if given enough resistance, and thus leaving Iraq now will be pretty much exactly what he predicted. If I were an enemy of the US, I would be very content knowing the US was leaving Iraq becuase I would then know that all I would ever have to do to beat back the US military is to order up a number of suicide bombers until the US population got fed up and demanded the US left.

Politics aside, don't you see a problem emboldening the terrorists?

They also said there goal was to bankrupt the American government. I would say that staying is emboldening them just as much as leaving would. While I do disagree with leaving immediately, I do not disagree with setting up time tables and setting bench marks for the Iraqis to meet. If we keep giving them a crutch, if we do most of the fighting, what reason is there for there government to really push for anything. All they have to do is try to solidify there power by acting more partisan than even our own leaders.

no, not at all.

i think that going to iraq and staying there is what emboldens the terrorists and literally has them laughing from their comfortable palaces in saudi arabia.

as long as america WASTES lives, time and money in a complete sideshow like iraq, we will never be able to devote to the real war on terror the resources that will be needed to even make a dent.

the war in iraq has nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks, american security or the broader war on terror.

going there was a mistake, staying is an even bigger one.

we could leave tomorrow and REDEPLOY those troops to places where we might actually get a little friggin pay back for the 9/11 attacks.

i don't know when politicians will get this through their thick heads - americans WANT SOME PAYBACK FOR 9/11 AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO GET IT IN IRAQ!

get it - i really do wonder...

issues have grew to change right into somewhat extra effectual over in iraq and the democrats won't be able to argue with the protection stress, reason in the adventure that they question the pro protection stress leaders, they run the threat that the family contributors of those who serve may start up calling the unpatriots. also the bypass on. org upload and the phony soldier incident have blown the democrats into the shielding. the phony soldier were the most unfavorable to the anti warfare flow reason those men were mendacity about serving their united states and they not in any respect did. and that is offensive in case you actualy serve. lengthy tale short: the democrats are on the shielding

I definitely see a problem with emboldening the terrorists - that is why I think Bush & co. should be impeached immediately.

So when is the point that we say "Well..that looks good enough. See ya folks later."? Because if that's what we are waiting for, it will NEVER happen. So...why have more deaths of our troops? Bring em home...alive.
