I have been taking 40 lortabs a day, I need help getting off of these things before it ends up killing me. This has been going on for a year and a half now and im to the point that i want and am willing to accept help. I have told my parents,my husband and my doctor,they are all doing there best to help with my situation, but it is the hardest thing i have ever had to do. The withdrawals are unreal. I am attending narcotics anonymous meetings as of this week, but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, especially on how to deal with the aches,pains, leg cramps, racing heartrate,just totally feeling like you cant go on. Please help if you can identify with me in any way.

There is a new drug called suboxone which takes away the early days of withdraw. I was precsribed that and it was like a miracle except now i have restless leg at night which is horrible but not like cold turkey. I was on prescribed morphine 4years. I'm still struggling as it's only been 2 weeks. If ican get off these pillls anyone can. You can do it!

I don't really have an answer for you, But I hope you can overcome this My mother has been on pain killers for 3 yrs now, and she will not admit she has a problem so for you to admit it is a huge step, Hope you get the answers your looking for!
