I like to make fruit salad from scratch. Pineapple, orange segments, grapes, cherries (pit them), melon, squeeze fresh orange juice over to prevent any browning, it will keep for a couple of days so don't make too big a batch. It's a great alternative to fat, and the sugars are all natural.

Fresh fruit and oatmeal!

I don't have that kind of time in the morning (I like to sleep), so I make a smoothie and eat it at work.

I slice up the various fruits on Sunday (4 different colors), or buy frozen sliced fruit and put them in 5 baggies. I use a combination of strawberries, bananas, blueberries, cherries, mango peaches and papaya. If I use cherries, I add a teaspoon of natural cocoa for the antioxidants.

In the morning, I throw them in the blender with some orange juice and maybe some law fat fruit yogurt (protein) and blend away.

This takes care of my 5 fruits a day, and I am eating slowly until just before lunch, so I'm not hungry.

Fresh fruit compote, with plain or flavored yogurt.
Quick grits with a poached egg on top.
Oatmeal.
Toasted english muffin with either fruit spread or or a great cottage cheese mixure broiled.
Tomato 1/2, scoop out seeds and fill with left-over tuna or crab salad, bake or microwave.
Broiled grapefruit, with a tiny dab of either honey or brown sugar, with whole wheat toast, english muffin or whatever.

A different breakfast idea.......Make or buy a nice hearty vegetable or minestrone soup the night before....Eat at breakfast time.......

I typically eat "lunch food" for breakfast if I don't want cereal or fruit. Sandwiches, leftovers from dinner, stuff like that. An egg-white omelet is also good--you can use up leftover veggies or protein from the night before if you like, or just use whatever combination of filling you like the best.

I don't usually eat breakfast at all because I don"t like breakfast foods. If I do eat anything in the morning it would be a grilled cheese sandwich or a hamburger. If this doesn't appeal to you, just eat anything you like to eat. Anything at all is better for you than nothing. If you like salads, eat one. If you have a favorite soup then eat this. The body needs something after a long night of nothing so eat anything you like.

One egg, however you like it, a piece of wholewheat toast, no jelly (unless you use the recomended serving, or less) and a cup of low or non-fat yogurt, Dannon Light and Fit is best, no sugar added and 60 cal. per serving

Hope that helps
