Read the manual that came with it. If you have questions about certain terms they use, then feel free to aks about those terms!

If you don't have the manual, you can usually go to the manufacturers website and get the same information. Jst google the manufacturer's name and that will get you the website URL.

There are so many brands of digital cameras it is not easy to give you a simple answer. After putting in the batteries or recharging the batteries see if you see anything on the Lcd screen when turned on.

Some digital cameras need a memory card and there might be a symbol showing you have one or don't. Some contain their own memory and you need a card or cord and in some advanced cameras wireless to download the pictures to the picture printer or computer.

You seem to need a lot of help and so I recommend that you return it to the seller to show you how to use it or tell them you don't want it.

Experiment. The auto mode will do most everything for you so no point in going in to what all the bells and whistles are for just yet. The advantage of a digital over film is that you can look at your masterpiece as soon as you have created it. You can also see your klunkers and erase them as you go. Sit down with the book (after just playing with it for awhile) and then take one item at a time, such as macro over normal. Flash and it's many options, shutter priority over aperture priority, etc. etc. Then you can work on things like parallax, camera angle, portrait vs. landscape format and all the other things that separate a snap shot shooter from a photographer.
