just got my Currie 9" housing in and need a 31 spline posi third member. I have found I need to look for a 81 and old ford 9" with the small hole and two larger holes outside that, on the axles.
Can you help me narrow down my search, I'm guessing an 81 and older F250. Please help I want to get the ford 9" going and going strong!!! Thanks, Joey

only half ton trucks (150s) had the 9in rear ends, most will be 28 spline open diffs. a good vehicle to find the 31 spline posi would be older bronco 4x4 and f-150 4x4. i can't tell you exact years but I think 81 and below is correct. f-250 will not have a 9 in. its gonna be tough to find in a scrap yard, most have been picked up by now as this is a very popular differential. it might be easier to find an old beat up used truck for sell, probably cheaper too.
