Hello sweet Ladyeagle.. :)
I would ask them if they would like to come over to my home, for Lunch..so we could talk over a nice meal..if they needed a place to stay, my home is open to all..
I have been in their place and time..no one was there for me..
It would be an honor to share my home, food and clothes..
Jesus said..if ye have done it unto the least of my brethren..ye have done it unto Me.. :)
Great Question sweet sister..
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..your Sister..In Christ.. :)

Lady,
These are exactly the types of people we need to be ministering too. Now of course you have people who will take advantage of you, and hold out there hand for money. We (my wife and I buy meals). I have had the ones that wanted money rather than food, get mad and leave when you say I will buy you something to eat. So those you pretty much know are going for drugs. But on the other hand, One time I passed a man on the streets, the Holy Spirit Quickened me, to go back to this man and help him. Sometimes the traffic in Vegas is really bad, I just wanted to go home, so I kept going, and finally the Quickening was so strong I did obey, I did turn around go back and I gave the man some money. Once I did that, poof, the traffic thinned out and I went home easily. LOL God is so good, and you know he has a sense of humor. I think we need to be wise as a serpents and as gentle as doves, always listening and obeying. You never know when you are entertaining angels unaware. Amen!
Even on here how do we know we are not entertaining angels unaware? People come in ask a question (so we wittiness) and we never here from them again.

I would wonder why I went back for that crappy church coffee! Also I would wonder why I did not notice everyone else sneak off! I would give the lady my coffee and tell her I will go get the pastor and run like Satan himself was after me!
Ok now that I have had my fun I will answer the question. Come to my church and find out. Seriously, I cannot just sit here on my couch watching TV and tell you what I would do.
Why don't you tell me what you would have done with a mad man with a gun is running around your school? The bravos will say they would have tackled him or boarded the doors. The honest would say run like a scared mad man. But until you feel the bullet move air by your body you will not know what you will do.

Be Jesus to them. Tell the newcomers what it is to be Christian, speak to the elder/minister/steward/all three (delete as appropriate, and assure the newcomers that Jesus is willing to help them if they truly want His help.
If the rest of the congregation have scarpered, then that's to their shame, for Jesus came to seek not just the middle-class and "acceptable", but EVERYONE. To be fair, I don't know the whole story, so I shouldn't judge the rest of the congregation, but it seems they need to learn that Christianity is a practcal, get-your-hands-dirty Faith. Maybe the Bible Study groups should look at Jackie Pullinger's book "Chasing the Dragon" as a handbook of living one's Faith.
On the other hand, this isn't a wishy-washy help that lets them have free soup and a bed, and continue to fix and pull tricks: but from your description, these two sound serious, so should be helped. I hpe and pray the church is helping. Please inform me of any develoments. And God bless you for caring enough about them, and for being worried enough about the congregation's attitude, to mention them.

do no longer subject with regard to the previous activities you dream approximately; it extremely is universal. If the flaws you "foresee" (it extremely is the destiny) come actual, then it incredibly is a uncommon present, even with the undeniable fact that it extremely isn't any longer inevitably from God. be cautious. The Bible supplies us many examples of God using needs to talk with human beings, yet on the different hand, devil might desire to be displaying you those issues to trick and misinform you. the main extreme factor, as continuously, is to maintain-on-praying!

I surprised by most of these answers... Jesus would have helped their physical needs first or at least helped their physical needs while teaching them.
Most people say they would just start preachin.' That's not very Christian.
I don't drink coffee. And I wouldn't offer them any, hot drinks are not good for the belly.

Wow. Praise God that they came to church and wants to learn about Jesus. I'm new at soul winning, so I would take my Bible and show them the plan of salvation and ask them if they would like to accept Jesus, once they do and say the sinner's prayer, I'd track down my pastor and have him take it from there regarding baptism and church membership. We have to remember, Jesus loves us all and welcomes us as we are, we can't clean someone up, only Jesus can.

Well first I offer the women a sweatshirt or Jacket or something, then I sit them down and we discuss Jesus and the Bible and then I would tell them to come for the service next week and hopefully they would meet the pastor and start to fellowship in the church and convert.

Offer to take them to lunch and tell them about the Lord....maybe call a classmate (from my ministerial class) and ask him or her to join us....tell them my testimony and what Jesus has done for me....then tell about why He came to earth and what He can do in their lives and ask if they'd like to ask Him into their heart....(this may take hours.....but take the time....if need be arrange to meet another day too.....as long as it takes.)
