Here we go with that "contradiction" thing again. Is that you people's favorite word, or are you really incapable of realizing that in ANY subject not everyone is going to think the same, understand the same, interpret the same? And what the hell does not liking Westboro Baptists have to do with any Christians thoughts or beliefs about homosexuality? If those dorks had their way, homosexuals would be lined up and gunned down. I'm a believer and I certainly do not ascribe to that Hitler like mentality. Stop making false analogys. Stop trying to mix apples and oranges. You only make yourself look as goofy as Fred and crew.

I think that it's the "gays" that hate Westboro.
Most Christians would not consider Westboro to be representative of true Christianity.
The truly Christian attitude about the sin of someone who engages in homosexual sex is to love the sinner but hate the sin.
All sins of the flesh are mortal sins, but homosexual sex is especially disordered because it goes directly against the most basic plan of God for a man to be with a woman.
Read what Jesus has to say about marriage. It was Adam and Eve from the beginning.

As a Christian I don't "hate" anyone. As to Westboro that church doesn't have any support from main stream Christianity. No church that preaches hate has any place in the Christian religion. Christians are supposed to preach the gospel, that is the "good news" and telling people that they are going to hell isn't good news. Telling them that God loves them just the way that they are but that He loves them to much to leave them in their sins is the good news of Christianity.
Ephesians 2:1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience-- 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have been saved-- 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

I doesn't seem contradictory. If they were using this nation's murder rate, or issues such as child molestation or rape to justify their vile and evil form of protest, we would hate them just as much.
We despise what they do. Their justification is irrelevant.

The Westboro church protests at Innocent's funerals....if they want to go protest say, outside the View, or at "gay pride" rallies, that's fine with me. But, don't protest at someones funeral, that's tacky and Jesus wouldn't condone that.

There is no hell. It is a valley outside of Jerusalem, Gehenna.
