That is a yes in some people and no in others. It depends on the evaluation of the stone itself. A person can have a stone that is primarily calcium, but never have taken any supplements. You may find more on this by searching Webmd. Good luck.

Calcium stones (which are a type of kidney stones)are more common in people who have excess levels of vitamin D not calcium per say.

I had kidney stones one time, my Dr. said it was from calcium that deposited on my kidneys. It kind of all builds up and forms into (like) rocks.Killer pain resulted,I was into the hospital, the Dr. put in a stent so they would pass. I hope you don't ever have to suffer that kind of pain.
