I know you all have noticed how everyone lies. It's getting so it's almost impossible to know what the truth about anything is. Our government- dam look at how much all of them lie about everything. All the religions, the reason all of them are so screwed up is because of all the lies when they started. It's no wonder the world is so messed up. Doesn't anyone have integrity anymore? Doesn't anyone care to be honest? I'm asking any of you who care, to not lie anymore. Be honest with everything. When it comes to hurting someone if telling the truth, you decide. I'm talking about being truthful in our work, with our friends and family, people we owe money too. IRS, collection agencys, whoever.

I agree with you. I think we should also make people more accountable for their own lies. Nothing has made me feel dumber than when I beleived someone elses lie and passed it on down thinking it was the truth. Sometimes its intimidating when your up against a liar with authority over you. I think we all just roll our eyes and let it slide too much.
We start with our kids too, little, subtle things "tell him I cant talk on the phone cause Im in the shower", I even worry about what Im going to tell my kid about the whole santa claus, easter bunny, tooth fairy charade sometimes too.
And as for the collection agencies, I can honestly say, the check is NOT in the mail. But Im sure they will survive until I finish my degree.

My life is an open-book! I can't and as far as being a Christian I can't.
God sees Everything that we say/write/think/feel! God knows our Hearts and who/what we are. My id on the Internet and in life is my birth and marriages. I'm writing two books about my and my husband's life.
This is not my first marriage - I have 3 children that are grow - 1 that is a physician. My Ex made the 'papers' in the Worst Possible way. It was a nightmare and all of my friends from then and have begged me to write about it - which I am now doing. I have published on two blogs that are for writers. One of my writings is under Policticalsense. I love to write and share - non-fiction and Christian.

I agree... I try very hard not to lie, but I have to remind myself sometimes it's easy to say a little white lie.
I f everyone in the world would commit to just trying this the world would be a much better place in a matter of weeks!

Good question and very true.
One thing you made me remember is sitcoms. One of the reasons I quit watching sitcoms is they promote lying. Lying has become our humor. I guess the writers think it is funny to lie and protect the lie. Hilarious, NOT !!!

I for one try not to lie and because I simpliefied my life I'm happy to say I don't need to anymore. There was a time when my very survival did depend on uttering a lie.
