I just googled it real quick and that's what I got.

Foot tattoo's are great! I got one a couple of years ago. They don't really hurt that bad either...only a little in some parts.

Actually I just got a tattoo on my foot 2 months ago. The woman who did it has a few pics on her website of tattoos she's done. I think she may have some you might be interested in. www.localcolortattoos.com. Her name is Lisa Harrison, she also has designs on tattoojohnny.com. She's very good at girly designs if that is what you like. Good Luck!!

Go with along the top. Foot tattoos are hard enough to heal, and the sides usually fade and need to be touched up quite a bit from rubbing on your shoe. The top will be the same, but it's easier to find shoes that have no tops for healing times.

Go for a design that you like. Having something original is a much better idea than looking at other people's tats. Look for a specific picture and go from there. Plus your tattoo artist should be able to draw up your ideas.

The reason you may not find anything on the subject is because a tat on the foot is a bad place to get one (I'm not lecturing here but I have 7 tats of my own and I apprenticed in a shop). Constantly wearing socks, having your feet exposed to sunlight (sandals in the summer), and the occasional wetness from your feet can cause the ink to fade and the design to start "running". You may also want to avoid getting anything on or around your hands, its the same situation. Get one if you like, just be ready for the repercussions over the next few years. Why don't you move your tattoo up a few inches, say to your ankle, this is a safer bet.

I just got trailing butterflies on my foot. I got nine different butterflies going from the top of my foot by my toes up to my ankle. If you want a picture I can probably email it to you, but I just got it done last week, and so it's starting to scab a bit. Even though it's butterflies you could probably do the same thing with flowers.

I agree, find a picture you like and go from there. Or if there is something specific you are looking for, find an artist and ask the mto draw it for you. I have one on my foot, from the the bottom of my toes up to my ankle ... it hurt like hell. 5 hours, lots of colors, I was near tears by the end of it. But its gorgeous and everyone comments on it ... definately worth it! I've had it for over a year and it hasn't faded at all.

Good luck!

Cool. I was debating on whether to get a foot or ankle tattoo. I chose the ankle and it turned out nicely. As a warning the closer to the bone the worse it hurts. Any how here are a few cool pics.
