My Bible program counted 400 times in the KJV.
How sad that the church, that hid the scriptures from the common people so they would not cut their hands off, or put out their eyes, like Jesus said instead of sinning, INTERPRETED THE BIBLE TO GIVE THEM AUTHORITY TO BURN ALL BUT LATIN BIBLES, DECAPITATE HEADS, BURN UNBELIEVERS IN THE FIRES, STRETCH THEIR LIGAMENTS ON THE RACK, AND SUSPEND THEM UPSIDE DOWN IN DUNGEONS.
What an outrage, yet God told us the saints would be delivered into their hands during the dark ages. Let us read:
"And they that understand [the wise] among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, for many days [1260 years].
"Now when they shall fall, they shall be assisted with a little help [from God's Holy Spirit]..." (Daniel 11:33,34).
Yes, while in the greatest turmoil, God gave His MARTYRS PEACE--400 times worth for each saint. Do we have the trust in God to face such unimaginable hardships?

So far as I know it does not appear at all in the Jewish portion; but it appears again and again in the New Testament,how many I could not say. The Jewish or Hebrew Bible is the O.T. It is mostly stories of cruelty & vengeance,not very healthy reading. So if you're thinking of a pocket testament - meaning a "Bible" without that Jewish stuff annexed on - there are many,many references to peace,as quotes of Christ or in the letters of His disciples. You count 'em bub.
