I get this sticky, white substance along my gumline about 1/2 hour after I brush my teeth. I need to swab my mouth with a q-tip to remove it. Anyone know what this is??

My husband gets this too. He brushes his teeth in the shower and holds the toothpaste foam in his mouth for a few minutes. What I have observed looks like skin peeling from his cheeks and lips. Could be the tooth paste, could be the warm water? I always recommend rinsing with cool water for a clean feeling after brushing. Baking soda can be hard on your mouth if you leave it in too long, which he does. My husband also has a high carb diet which causes ropey saliva, maybe thats it?

Maybe it's what ever you are using to brush your teeth with. You could try something else to see if there is any difference.
If not you should see your Dentist .
