Some people that are mean probably don't know any better. They might not understand that they are hurting someones feelings. Some people that are mean are probably feeling ugly on the inside so they act mean on the outside.
If someone is mean to you, you don't have to play with them.

Because people dont take the time to listen and understand eachother. People get set in their ways, but if they took a minute to see the other point of view, they might think twice, people usually have a valid reason why they think the way they do, whats right in thier mind, people need to respect individual opinion and not hate over it.

There are all kinds of different beliefs in the world. These differences sometimes make the people who have more power mad. They don't like people to be different, so they fight.

People fear what the do not know or understand....so, they resort to being "mean". Others are just mean to get noticed or think it's fun. But, mostly I think it's a fear of the unkown. If we take time to understand another person's viewpoint, we will not fear so much. It doesn't mean we agree with the other viewpoint, but at least we understand where they are coming from and subsequently we are not afraid.

Oh how precoius please tell your 5 yr old that people are mean because they are hurting in thier own hearts and if they dont know God this is how they act. Children are precoius even the Psalms says out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants kids say the smartest thing. My nephew came to church with me he is 7 and he looked me straight in the eye and aunt Aunt....................... you look beautiful today he made my whole week.

Because we humans are selfish creatures. We are mean to those who happen to be in our way. However this selfishness can be tempered by a loving heart and a sound education. The meanness in others can be tempered by a kind heart and loving patience.

Religions are what makes people kill other people. Holocaust, 9/11, Iran/Iraq, Palestine/Isreal and the list goes on and on. Religion downright scares me and is one of the most evil forces known to man, made by man.
