i had one too..he cheated on me too. i think long distance relationships dont work is because yous cant see each other for a long period of time and they think since they dont see you they can get with someone else and you won't find out about it. also they've gone so long without kissing..or whatever and they don't have no one and get loney..i think long distance relationships suck and i would never have one again.

It's because, for me, physical presence is important to nourish each other's love. Most of the times people tend to be unfaithful because they don't feel the presence of a relationship.
Distance can make two lovers grow apart, thus, very different from each other in cases of interests, routine, environment and social life.
But we can't generalize. Some relationships still work despite the distance. It depends on the people involved. No matter how much distance is there between you, if you are really inlove, then you can maintain the relationship going strong.

I agree, it depends on the people involved.
Long distance relationships are difficult and you have to have faith and trust in each other. I had a boyfriend that moved and cheated on me too. They can work and I have seen some that have.
I prefer to have the guy closer to me so I can see him on a regular basis. My boyfriend works a different shift so I only see him 3 or 4 days a week anyway. It works out for us. It is different than the long distance thing.
Long distance relationships are so hard if you don't have trust, honesty, or communication in your relationship.

They usually don't work because they are so darn frustrating. I've had a few in my life and while they were fun while they lasted, and were cause of a lot of daydreams, they were unfulfilling. Long distance relationships are known as "safe" relationships. People who are afraid of commitment or want to have relationships with more than one person usually choose long distance relationships. You can't commit to a long distance relationship really. Not when you can't do the day-to-day eye-to-eye communication necessary to support something substantial. You can have some fun, but keep your expectations to a minimum. Hang in there little sister.

long distance relationships are hard to maintain because of the distance. you dont get physical attention from each other, which makes the relationship go downhill if two people dont work it out. sometimes people dont trust each other because they never know what the other person is doing. both need to believe they can last long to stay together and trust each other in order for the long distance relationship to work. so they actually work, but its not easy at all. its a good test for your guy or girl to see if they truely love you even if you guys cant be by each other's sides all the time.
i dont suggest long distance relationships because you need to have a lot of patience and trust.

This is because with long distance means the guy can cheat when ever people are usually always tempted to cheat but by you being a long distance away it just increases this.

long distance relationships should be dealt with in the mind from a realistic perspective. first of all if the both of you are just talking b.s. to one another, then you have no substance to deal with distance, so therefore you cannot relate to the purpose of being involved. second, why are you not able to meet someone in your immediate environment??? third, when you learn how to make it happen within yourself, then it wont matter what the distance is because you will always be that special someone that a guy will travel over hell andhighwater to be close to.

they don't work bcause their "long distance". i mean u might go strong 4 a couple of weeks but then, u get interested into other things.u said one of them cheated on u, that's not a surprise. most guys go off of what they want not caring about other peoples feelings or whatever.cause ima dude and ive been there and seen it. so just try a relationship that's not long distance.good luck

And that's why they don't work. Long distance doesn't always work, beacause, what if they forget all about you, and hooked up with someone else. That wouldn't really work wouldn't it.
I hoped I helped
Good Luck!
