I live in Canada and I always keep credit card statements. It's quite a pile; do I have to keep them?

Unless you need the individual statements for tax purposes, the last 3 statements are more than enough for credit purposes. I would shred all statements before disposing of them.

i don't know if you should get rid of them, but if you were to. you should run them through a paper shreder, so that none of your private info. gets out there.
