They are good for you and like garlic they help your heart and blood and they contain a lot of iron i believe. But you can get bad breath and heart burn form eating too many but sometimes it does depend on the onion for some of the things.

Yes onions are bad for dogs, they contain a substance which can burst red blood cells, causing haemolytic anaemia. normally small amounts of onion if eaten accidentally shouldn't cause a problem but as your dog is so tiny be careful what you drop! Other foods to be careful of include garlic (same family as onions), broccoli and chocolate.

Onions are very good for you. They apparently have an enzyme in them that aids in purifying the blood. At least that's what my mom told me and she knew everything, almost. Mom's are really smart.

They do have good nutrients in them and I love them. They can give you heartburn, but not as bad as garlic.
