Because the devil does not work in very mysterious ways.

I don't hate christians, I just have a hard time understanding how a person could live in such a technologically advanced society and still believe a 2000 year old fairy tale when all they have to do is go to the library and read accounts from the people who actually lived during that timeframe.

I think they're idiots, but I don't hate them.

People are afraid of being wrong. Look, I'm agnostic - that means that I don't know if God exists. You don't think that it crosses my mind that if I'm wrong, I get to spend eternity in hellfire? Yeah, that gives a person pause. However, I believe that it is better to be true to one's self than it is to follow the pack.

Some people, though, are so afraid, they must "convert" all those around them to their belief system. As a result of this, you see hate manifest itself in all forms, including a few Christians saying all us non-believers will burn in Hell, and a few non-believers bashing Christians.

Ironic, since Jesus preached love.

Well, I don't "hate" anyone, christian or otherwise. BUT, what irks me about them here is that some of them just can't stop shoving their beliefs down other people's throats without respecting the rights that all of us have to worship the Divine (or not worship the nonexistant Divine) in our own ways.

So, I think, in all reality, since none of "us" try to force our beliefs down your throats, the REAL question is.....

Why do a lot of people spend all of their time ranting non-stop about how much they hate Pagans and Atheists?

Because some of them apparently got the idea somewhere along the line that the words "Christian" and "door mat" are synonyms. They think they can snipe at us, insult our faith, and blaspheme our Lord and Savior. . .and we're just supposed to sit there like simple-minded little bliss ninnies and take it.

Wrong and wrong again. I may let you get away with the first two, but mock or blaspheme Jesus, and it's all-out war. I will give the same amount of respect to someone else and their beliefs that they give mine. Not a drop more.

I've known plenty and they were all miserable bastards although you wouldn't know it at a glance since they "party" like a bunch of 16-year-olds; another type is the social isolate. In both cases they are miserable, lonely and dejected entities who carved out their soul a long time ago and, really, all they want is to die. They tend to be extremely fascinated with all the trappings of death. I suppose on some level they know they are already dead inside and long to be a rotting corpse. I never knew one who didn't have this obsession with death, corpses, putrefaction and so on. They have no source of personal happiness so understandably they wish or hope or imagine they have the ability to despoil it for others. They do not; they are annoying, but that's all. They have severed their ties to humanity and - you want to know the truth? - they don't care what religion they're attacking; if they lived in another part of the world they would attack whatever religion was locally popular. Religion means happy people who lead rewarding lives, keep their marriages intact, bring up their children to be loving and responsible and - worst of all to a God-knocker - it means people with friends. Friends, not drug buddies or sex partners. That's what really drives them nuts - that and just the pressure of being trapped in a human body when they have ceased to be human. May they be released.

Why do Christians spend all of their time ranting non stop about the people they hate, or claim to be hated by.

Humans like to complain. *shurg*

well i guess that they get too much ammo to use in their everyday life. so a constant rant is the only possible way to keep from going insane.

Don't hate Christians, but I do hate what they do sometimes (hateful towards other religions, sexuality(proven largely genetic).
