I know I am supposed to eat 5 small meals throughout the day. When should I be eating (specific hours please)...also I heard that I should not eat after 4 or 5 o'clock, and another source told me after 6 o'clock.

well, it all depends on what time your day starts!

First of all, you should eat breakfast an hour between you wake up to get your metabolism started for the day. I would eat lunch no later than 1 and dinner around 5. Thats the time I eat and do not eat past 8. Usually its hard for your body to digest food if you eat right before bed.

from the time you wake up every 3-4 hours and up to 30 minutes before bed.

not eating after 6pm is the biggest bunch of dieting rubbish that is constantly being spread. starving the body for 12 hours a day is a great way to decrease the metabolic rate and to impede fat loss. at night your drop the carbs and consume meals of protein and veggies.

It just depends on what your goal is. What are you trying to do? Are you bodybuilding, doing sports, what? If so, you should be eating at least every 2-3hrs. small meals with a good portion of protein, carbs, fat, etc. You should try and not eat really late, but there is no time limit. Just try and get about 4-5meals a day.

1st meal- 30 minutes after you wake up
2nd meal - between 10-12
3rd meal- between 2-4 pm
4th meal- between 5-7 pm
5th meal- between 8-10 pm (but keep in mind this has to be a light meal, about 150 calories, and should be about 2 hours before you sleep)

easy.... 7 a.m., 10 a.m., 12 - 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. if you go to bed at 10.

see a trend? you should be awake for about 15 - 16 hours a day and eat every 3 hours. eat your first meal almost as soon as you wake up...or within 30 minutes.

I heard in order not to gain you shouldn't eat after 6, but who knows...I just wouldn't eat past 8 if I were you.
