OK Im going to put it to you like this. Flirting is basically like any other conversation except that it does not lead anywhere unlike a real conversation does. You are making small talk strictly to make a girl smile or laugh. So If a guy (including myself) is telling you a whole bunch of non sense thats funny he is flirting.

In general...everything a guy does anywhere near a girl is flirting.
Mostly it's saying or doing funny things and/or showing off and being a real jerk.
