My mother says that I am apparently at fault for global warming, expensive food, expensive gas, overcrowded laundromat, and dirty bedsheets.

Maybe indirectly she is hinting that you need to give her ahand at home like helping with the housework and switching off a light or two to help conserve electricity. We are all reponsible for global warming..

This question of yours really made me laugh. What your mom is trying to drive at is that you must do your share of the housework. You might be loafing a lot and doing nothing to help her do the house chores.
