I would adopt an unwanted baby. Of course the US makes it very difficult to adopt a baby here. As far as financial support goes, if I were in control, gave custody of the child, then I would obviously support the child. If someone would want to take advantage of the situation, and I'm guessing there would be plenty, then I wouldn't stand for that.

I don't know what I'm considered....I don't like abortions and try to talk people out of them but if they ultimately decide to do so I support their decision. I'm not Christian but, Yes, I have offered to financially support or temporarily or permanently adopt a child just so the abortion wouldn't occur. The mother felt that she couldn't deal with the idea of someone else raising the baby.

Crisis Pregnancy Centers helps moms up to 1 year after they have a child, who was unwanted earlier in the pregnancy. We give them baby furniture, diapers, formula for as long as they need it in that 1 year, we sign there child up for government heathcare that is paid by the government. It still is Gods work if we can help them in anyway possible.....

I have a better idea, why don't they donate their bodies to carry and give birth to these unwanted kids? Why should a woman that was planning on aborting a pregnancy have to actually go through with the pregnancy if she has to give the child up? I say, let the people that want the child to live become hosts for the pregnancy. Then everyone is happy. The child still lives, the original mother doesn't have to give birth, and someone that wants the child to live can take care of the child from birth. How does that sound?

There are many couples out there, who can not have their own children, who would be willing to adopt these children. So, YES. We pay a lot of money for children to call our own. We don't think of it as a financial or personal burden.
And, after reading some other responses---HELLO, if you don't want to get pregnant---USE PROTECTION! This is not 1940. Have you heard of birth control?

I would adopt a child if someone asked me to, with the other option being abortion.

I would adopt a kid to save it from being murdered in a heart beat. But abortion isn't exactly all bad. Abortion isn't bad when it is ABSOLUTELY necessary.

I wouldn't want to but I probably already am with all the people and their kids on welfare.
My kids are already asking for too much money and I don't really like paying for other people's mistakes.
