Hopelessness always leads to rudeness!

Because most wankers running around proclaiming themselves "Christians" these days are of the storefront, "fundamentalist" variety and are as a rule dumber than a bag of hammers. No rudeness intended. I for one do not even consider myself an Atheist, but DAMN it's fun to mess with those who would send others to Hell when they can barely read a Stop sign, let alone the archaic English of biblical translation.

PS: This may come as a shock, but Jesus never read the bible. If he had, he would have cut all financing, fired the editors on the spot and any movie deal, of course, would have been out of the question.

God Bless!

A couple of points:

1) Being an atheist doesn't mean you have to accept the theory of evolution. It's true that most atheists probably do accept it; but it's not a requirement.

2) The difference between the theory of evolution and -- whatever it is that you believe, is that evolution is supported by a mountain of evidence*, discovered and studied by thousands of skilled and dedicated people over the past century and more. What have you got -- a moldy old book? Sorry -- not good enough.

*And despite what your pastor may have told you, it's real evidence and not a fraud. You don't have to accept it; but don't be surprised if your persistence in ignorance fails to impress others.

Let me ask you a question, then ...

As a christian, what are your opinions on satanists? How about wiccans? How about hindus? Have you ever stated that anyone outside of the christian religion was destined for hell? Have you ever stated that something someone else has done was a sin?

If you've done any of those things, then you're just as guilty of intolerance and hatred as the atheists who have called you stupid for being a christian.

By the way, there are many christians and members of other religions who also believe in evolution. We atheists don't have the copyright on that idea. By calling evolution "stupid", you wouldn't be demonstrating anything other than your lack of scientific knowledge.

There is scientific proof evolution is real...just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it isn't true. Every respectable scientist believes evolution is true, that is a fact.

Jesus and the religions who claim him are plagiarizers, every aspect of the christian religion is stolen from pagan religions before it.

It would be best if you used your mind to search the truth - accepting things based on faith is a fools response to reality.

Science asks questions and looks for answers. Religion creates mythology and tries to sell it as the truth.

some atheists are impolite to Christians, some Christians are impolite to atheists. the huge difficulty is that maximum Christians are blind to the rudeness that they practice atheists. Atheists understand that they are being impolite, although that's often in retaliation. "I see atheists hating on Christians for no reason," No. What you spot is the consequence of Christianity loosing that is place of undeserved privilege. you have not have been given the surprising to be unfastened from grievance. fantastically in case you have been criticizing others for 2,000 years.

Face it, most of the atheists on here (not all), are here for the sole purpose of bashing christians. It's either a bully thing, anger they can't express in the grown up world, so they take it out here, or they're trolls who have no lives and nothing else to do. They think its fun to insult other people, its how they get their kicks and we're easy targets. It's like in grade school, they pick on the weakest and they think we're weak or maybe its just the ability to say anything on the web and get away with it. Just look at the answers some of them give to sincere questions, nothing but bashing. You just have to pay attention to the questions, and when you see the really ignorant bashing ones, don't bother opening them, ignore them. If you reply to their nonsense you're just feeding them. Ignore the ignorant, rude answers too.

Atheist are not all rude to Christians or anyone else. The ones that truly feel there is no God have no need to be...but those who are rude, just as Christians who are rude, make the rest of us look bad.

Sigh... why are people "rude" in general? You can debate without name calling period! Yeah and chill if it wasn't for check spelling I wouldn't spell big words right either so don't take everything so defensively chill out ..take a deep breath .. and exhale..

Everybody has the right to their on views.
Everybody feels that what they believe in is just as important as what you believe in.
Stay natural and open minded and you can "see" their side is close to yours (just a different picture) it is no biggy!

Have Fun!

It's unfortunate that disagreeing with someone oftentimes spills over into being disagreeable. Most of the time it isn't really necessary, and little good can come from it.

Though most of us have long since outgrown being actually hurt by being called "lost" or "hellbound" or "unwitting agents of Satan," it's not particularly nice to be called those things either.
