They're typically found in fairs - along with elephant ears, corn dogs, funnel cakes and deep fried oreos.
Regular twinkies are deep fried with a batter coating. They were too sweet for my taste.

Deep fried Twinkies!
All you need is a basic batter for the outside and deep fry it for a bit.
You can fry almost anything around the house.
I've made Fried hotdog on a fried bun, though I couldn't fry the ketchup. ;)
If you want to try deep frying remember to never keep the food inside of the oil for too long or else the foods will become the fatty things people fear.
If you only keep the food in enough to lightly brown it you will be ok.
ALSO this is not a substitute for cooking and will not cook chicken, it's almost like using a microwave, only for things you can heat up safely.

You deep fry them for just a few seconds. It makes the outside crunchy and the inside gooey. They are very good. Hostess is the best, but I imagine all kinds are good.
