No, not really...but some like to be martyrs...they are not all Christians though. You can smell them a block away. I do think some want the ATTENTION it brings.

Well, I'm from ther USA and I'm not sure what the heck you're talking about. seems to me many countries have people crying persecution. Some complaints are valid some are whining. Don't think it's right to lump an entire nation into a square peg - we'll feel persecuted.

Yes. There is a certain honor that goes with persecution. All the really great heroes of history have been persecuted - just look at Jesus, Martin Luther King, Jr., etc.

The Bible stresses that you are blessed if you are persecuted because it basically means that you are right, and that's why the world hates you, because the world is wrong. So, people have absorbed this mentality that persecution is a thing of great honor and prestige.

Some people who cry "persecution" don't have the first CLUE as to what it's really like to be persecuted. Maybe they might get a chance to try it. I'm pretty sure I'm here because of something I did non-virtuous, karmically, in a past life. All of this pain from bigotry and hate... I must have been a REAL treat.

A) Their book of Revelations forecasts that the righteous will be persecuted in the "end days". Thus, if they're "persecuted" their world view is confirmed. And they get the bonus of being confirmed that they are righteous!
B) And yes, persecution is romantic and heroic and appealing. Think of how many teenagers revel in being "oppressed".
Unfortunately, there is no "persecution" of Christians in the USA. There are some that champion the separation of church and state, but that's hardly "oppression".

No, they're just upset because they're used to being the only ones allowed at the V.I.P. table here in the U.S., and now others are demanding to be given the same rights and treated with the same respect. It's the spoiled child syndrome.

Of course they do. They cry persecutuion so that they will be persecuted, but they do it in hopes of the attention, or the American dream, to sue and get rich.
