you have to lose fat all over.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Absolutely. I watched my aunt walk 1 hour per day for 8 months. Every day - no matter what. Nothing else. 75 pounds. Unbelievable. I just want to drop 20-25 and I cannot get off my computer! :)

When we lose weight, there is no way to specifically burn fat from one part of the body. Doing situps won't burn the fat that is covering your abs and doing tricep extensions won't get rid of the fat that is covering your triceps. The only thing you can do is lose weight all around and eventually the problem area will also improve.

the very best way to loose inches and i know this by experiance is to stop drinking soda and drink more water, because all the soda goes directly to your belly, and around your belly button area, so i have a friend that works at bally total fitnes so i know it works, because i'm doing the same thing now and i'm getting results, try jogging and not running, that works to

dont eat any carbs at all till your weigh in, eat lean meats and green veggies, yellow veggies , tomatoes etc, and low fat dairy, and raw fruits, no sugar, no bread no potatoes, no noodles, no pasta, no rice, etc, and i wouldnt trust that juice thing as a diabetic my doctor told me fruit juice is just sugar water.
