OK so I have recently started a new diet and have started doing exercises including cardio and using an Ab Lounger. After losing some weight, will I have extra skin?? Or will it shrink as I progress each week??

not if you do it the healthy way. yes if you go on crash diet.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

As long as you continue to exercise you will be toning your body so the skin will shrink as you lose weight. There will be no extra skin. You've nothing to worry about.

Probably not, as long as you WORK OUT while you lose weight. You're young so your skin has a lot of elasticity to it, making it easier for you to lose weight and not experience the saggy skin effects an older person would experience. But you HAVE to work out, do lots of cardio.

I don't think that an extra 40 lbs (lost) will create folds.
I've seen people lose 30-50 lbs and they look normal, it's only when they lose around 100 lbs they seem to had those flaps.

Also you are young, so I can almost grantee you won't have them.

You are young enough that your skin should shrink down with you as you are losing. Good luck on your weight loss.
