You Christian fools God does exist just not how you want him to exist. The bible is not the word of God and that is what the big argument is about.
If you expand the definition of God to encompass everything in the universe then who has the right to question this precept but if you use that argument then it is more likely that God is no more aware of his own existence than the air we breath, the water we drink, or the gravitational fields that keeps us stuck the the ground. When was the last time you had an intelligent two way conversation with God or the forces of nature?
God has no voice of his own but we have to stop operating from the limited point of view of the men that claim to speak on God's behalf. There are charlatans in this world and the religious have been duped by the biggest con in history called the bible.

Here, I'll do it the easy way.
1. There is no evidence that supports it's existence.
2. The only books that allude to the existence of such a being have been proven to contain incorrect accounts about kings, Ceasars, Pharoahs, geographic locations, and natural events.
3. This god, although considered omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, was not able to reveal itself to people outside of the local area of the origin of the only book that contains reference to it without the aid of humans who had read that book. This means that although the character god was cognizant, capable, and in the presence of Native Americans, Central and South Americans, Asians, and Africans, it could not make it's existence known to them EXCEPT through centuries of believers conquering and subjugating others.
That is not a how an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient god would spread the word of it's existence. That is how an idea or a disease would spread it's existence. Neither of those is omnipotent, omniscient, or omnipresent. If god were the things claimed in the only book that claims to be factual information about it, then knowledge of it would be universally accepted and verified through historical and archeological records. So far, all of those records say that god is simply an idea originated and spread by a specific group of people.
Since none of the above conditions are met, logically, your god can NOT exist.
P.S. The burden of proof is always on the believer to prove the existence of his/her belief. You wouldn't believe me if I told you Jesus was never an actual person, but a carbon copy of the pagan god Mithras, or that the Catholic Church compiled the bible over 300 years AFTER the supposed events of the New Testement occured would you?

I have read ALL the responses to your infantile question and I do hope that you have.
You believe in your concept of a god because you were told to do so as an impressionable child and have clung to this wonderful idea ever since.
The wonderful idea that, when you eventually die, you will go and live in heaven with god and jesus and wouldn't that be just dandy.
Just because you want this idea to be true so much, it has distorted your view of reality, and it does not make it any more factual than my supposition to you that the moon is being held in place by seven invisible orange giraffes. I make that claim but it is not up to you to prove me wrong, it is up to me to prove me right.
Similarly, if you claim that there is an invisible paranormal entity floating about somewhere that has control over the lives of every living thing on this planet, it is up to YOU to substantiate that claim, not us. Go!
Do you not see the pattern here?
Ever since mankind has been able to gather his thoughts together, he has been frightened of that which he does not understand - thunderstorms, earthquakes and so on. He has been scared of being someone else's dinner - predatory beasts. he has been scared of so many things that he invents gods to protect him.
Early man worshipped the sun - you know this.
The ancient Greeks had a whole family of gods and goddesses, which were then appropriated by the Romans and renamed.
The early Scandinavians had another batch, including Odin and Thor.
Strange how the christian god didn't smite all the Greeks, Romans, Scandinavians, Mayans, Aztecs, Incas, North American First Nation, Australian aborigines, Maoris, etc, etc down for being false god worshippers. Very odd that.
The middle east of the time was perfect for the invention of another fake god 2000 years ago or more and, as true as I'm sitting here now, it came to be. Just had to happen.
All the old pagan religion stories were adapted to form the stories that YOU know and love and god was invented by man all over again.
However
Since those times, the level of education world-wide has increased to such a level that we humans are no longer as stupid or gullible as we were back then.
Gods do not talk to us any more.
Miracles mysteriously don't happen any more. Reasons for climate change are explained via science and not through god-effect.
Educated people just don't accept the god-concept these days. It is so clear that god is imaginary, even to 12 year-old kids.
There are so many questions that bear answering about your supposed god. They could all be answered by the great cop-out answer - "It was god's will" but that answer is always rejected by the intelligent.
So -
where was your god when one young man murdered 32 innocent school students at V/Tech?
where was your god when Chechnyan muslim terrorists murdered 350 plus children at Beslan?
Cambodia - Khamer Rouge - the Killing Fields
Nazi Germany - the holocaust
- and many, many more.
Are you entertained yet?
Are these views rational or 'so-called' rational?
Face facts:
No matter how dearly you WANT the god story to be true, your god is a man-made invention. Heaven and hell do not exist. Prayer is useless, as no-one is listening.
Religion is seen as true by the common people, as false by the wise and as very convenient by the rulers - seneca, greek philiosopher.
Religion is really wishful non-thinking.
Time to grow up and find reality. It isn't as difficult as you might think.

What is the proof that God does not exist? I believe there is actually no proof for either. Although I am a Christian and do believe that Jesus is the son of God, I cannot prove it. I believe in the Bible and what it teaches. Faith is believing in what we cannot see. I think if you could prove God's existence, you have completely defeated the purpose of faith.
Also, we need to look unbiasedly at the "proof" that God does or does not exist. YOU CAN'T PROVE YOUR ARGUMENT UNLESS YOU REGARD BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY AND CAN PROVE ONE ARGUMENT WRONG WITH COLD, HARD PROOF. That's why I don't know if there is really any solid proof for both sides of this argument.

Your definition of atheism is off. The existence of god is only a press release until eventually god is shown to be genuine. it truly is the responsibillity of the persons making the iincredible statement to educate the existence of god. Atheist reason that no reason exist to trust a god exist or a reason to have self assurance that a god exist. What you're saying is that becasue someone has made a press release atheist might want to recognize it and act like they ought to disprove it. this isn't genuine. If it were genuine you would possibly want to desire to educate the non existence of my statement that the Flyiing Spaghetti Monster exist in basic terms becasue I asserted that it did.exist. again, Atheist say that there's no reason to trust a god exist. And there is no longer. are you able to provide me one reason to trust a god exist. My e-mail awaits you. Atheist do no longer deny the existence of god. To a atheist god isn't something yet a unproven statement-no longer something-a idea- a perception in accordance with poof-no longer something-0-zilch

As said before, you can't prove a negative. But, logic and common sense tells people who are not out of their minds that god is a completely irrational concept. It's in the same arena as the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, leprechauns, the easter bunny, mermaids, bigfoot, etc. Only with them, they aren't claimed to have done all this amazing stuff that no one has any proof of. It's a really wack job fairy tale you guys believe!
You wouldn't need your "faith" for something that's real, for something that's proven.

The reason we doubt your "faith" is that the Bible is no different to any other fairy tale that's been translated over the years, often with a lot of it's original meaning lost in translation. In all fairy tales there is the "Goodie and the "Baddie", "Jesus and Satan", "The Good Witch and The Wicked Witch", you get the drift, in all good yarns there is always the contrast of black and white, good and evil, just look at Shakespeare's plays, no different to the Bible. In 2000 years "The Lord of The Rings" will be up there with the Bible and all other fairy tales and Harry Potter will be the new Jesus

Sure, just as soon as you prove the universe isn't under the control of a giant purple turtle. Without arguing "faith" (the refusal to accept reality in favor of what one chooses to believe), entertain us with your rational proof. Go!

We are rational enough to know you can't prove a negative. I can no more prove your god doesn't exist than you can prove that Invisible Space Monkeys don't control the earths weather patterns.
But they both have an equal liklihood of existing.
