Well, here is a little information about myself:
-I am a 17 year old male
-I Play sports (Football)
-I Lift weights often
-I Take pride in style and how I am portrayed (I shop at alot of the popular stores for my age, ie American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch)
-I'm shy, I have a few close friends and another handful I hang out with from time to time.
-I have a really hard time talking to girls, I just can't seem to muster up the courage to make a conversation
-I believe myself to be in the top 90% as far as looks goes
With that being said, I have a little predicament.
At my school, in EVERY class I am in and most everywhere I go, I have girls staring at me. Being as shy as I am, I have a hard time looking them in the eye and giving them a smile, even though I would love to do so. Do they find me attractive/hot? Or does this normally happen on a day to day basis? Also, is there any advice you would suggest to boost my confidence, so I can strike up a conversation?

I appreciate everyones help and constructive criticism.
I do believe I came off to be "stuck up on myself," at one point, but in all actuality, that's not the case.
I will try the advise given tomorrow and report back on how it goes.

Come on man you knew the answer to this question when you first posted it. My advice is go to wikihow.com or google it, and type in the word 'confidence' in the search.
Girls usually stare at things the like. I wouldn't think about it too much because this creates problems stay humble. I am sort of like you just opposite. I wear Southpole, Ecko, Def Jam, nice polo's, etc. I'm in plays, I host everything, I'm a comedian, and its hard for me to get in a relationship with a girl. I can talk to them but the second I find out they like me I lock up. Just check out that web site.

Well I look at people including guys but that doesn't mean I like them alot. Are they looking at you attractively? What's their expression on their face? What body signs or flirting moves have you seen from one of these girls? They might find you attractive, of course. Love is everywhere but this doesn't happen on a day to day basis. Or you are probably just thinking this is happening; all girls staring at you. Well I'm a shy person too, so I'm giving you advice... Too boost up confidence is to be friends with a confident person and surely enough, you will gain confidence. My twin sister just went up and she was soooo why believe me when she asked out a guy. You are never alone. Don't become a player.

More then likely they think youre good looking and are trying to catch YOU checking THEM out. Especially if the girls hold your eyes before they look away, that means they're definetly interested. It sounds to me like they want a reaction from you ;) smile, what will you loose? I'm sure that they would have a hay day! Open up:)

Either means:
1) You had something coming out of your nose.
2) Someone had spread a rumour about you being a vampire.
3) You're hot, you know it (come on you know it), and they love it.
Take your pick ;-)
Oh yes, boosting confidence. Well, with a hot body like yours you're halfway there...stand up straight, walk tall, golden rule: don't be arrogant! Be down to earth, friendly, a little flirty or cheeky, and they'll LOVE you! Not that they don't already.

well either you have a booger hanging out of your nose
but i would go with the they think your hot
girls like the strong silent type and once a girl starts talking to you talk back even if it's nothing much at least you will get a feel for how it's done

Sounds like you're a real hottie. Give a girl a smile and maybe even a wink next time she is checking you out. It might give her the boost to come and talk to you.

take it as a compliment. the girls probably find you attractive. as for starting a conversation, you just gotta take a breath and do it. if there's a girl you're working in a group, start by saying "Hi, how are you?" and just go from there.

stand tall and proud falsh quick smiles at girls if u get 2 nervous 2 gaze into her (their) eyes especially if theres 1 u like a certain one. yup i wuld like it if shy guys went for us quiet and sometimes out going girls! try to have conversations w/them and they probably look at u cuz they like u or sumthing is wrong like VERY messy hair or something else is wrong

they like you. duh. i would be staring too.
(i love hollister) when they look at you, you need to look back and smile. no matter how shy you are. and you don't have to look directly at them. look at something that is around them if you are to shy to look. and all you have to do is say "hi." its not that bad. i was super shy at one time too. so just get use to saying "hi" and small talk type of stuff and things should work out fine!
