Who post questions and give answers that are intended to appeal to every belief system--just so they can be popular on here and seem like they are the epitome of loving tolerance?

Do you buy into it? Do you think they are sincere?

Pangel--Why would you think I'm referring to you or to anyone else in particular? I got the idea for this question after seeing some answers to other questions. Some people do feel like this apparently, although I don't know who they are referring to.

beatleface--You judge me by a question I asked? I didn't say I felt this way.

eri--This question has nothing to do with a TC badge. They are certainly not given based on popularity. Who even knows the criteria for getting one? Mine comes and goes for unknown reasons. It is irrelevant to me.

Some just do not like tention and quarreling---
I speak what I believe in, no matter what. So I know many do not like me- LOL
But that is ok.
Those that do agree with everyone, well it is sad, because they are like leaves blowing in the wind....whatever sounds good to them, they follow.

I don't think so. A large majority of people come to R&S with their own belief system fully evolved. The reasons for being here, as we all know, are quite vaired. Most of them won't agree with everyone since not everyone believes the same thing.

My answers tend to be on the lines of choosing ones own path, finding ones own truth. I do this not to curry favor (mmmm curry) but because I've got as much of a right as anyone else to say what I believe.

No - I don't think people do that. I do think there are some people who sincerely are just very open minded and believe "to each their own." Nothing wrong with that, IMO.

Well, I do believe a person can express their beliefs with out being crude and condescending.
I really have serious questons about those who are crude and condescending. I feel their faith is not as developed as they like to think it is.

Some people are sincere.

I'd like to think I am. I'm done for life in terms of picking on religions.

I believe there are a few who are absolutely sincere. I try to be like them, but hate and bigotry make me nauseous, but then that's why the Buddha taught what he did, to help deluded minds like mine get over this junk.

I havn't noticed anything like that, if someone gets along well with others, or makes an effort to try to understand others, does that make you nervous or something?

If I really wanted a top contributor bar, I'd just start another account, post random platitudes, and agree with the poster for every question. I'd be top ranked.

But I can't stop mocking people. So it will never happen - but at least I'm having fun.

Sure. I think some people really want others to get along. They see their role as being one that brings people together. I hardly think it's self-serving or about popularity!
