weight watchers are undereating and they lose that much weight because they lose muscle and water weight NOT fat, as soon as you start eating normal you gain all the weight and even more back.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

That is a significant amount of weight, maybe you have other health problems that is making you store more fat (or making you too hungry). . . I had a similar problem, and turned out I had a serious medical condition, ever since the diagnosis and treatment I've been losing weight . I think you should consult with your family doctor first.
And of course exercise and a lower calorie diet always works, I'd suggest cutting back tiny bits of everything, instead of giving things up entirely.

I too was overweight after having my first child I went from 125 to 186 lbs and I couldn't get the weight off ever since! I'm 5'0 tall and I weighed 175 through diet and exercise I lost 35 lbs in about 6 weeks. I initially did a large intestinal fast as a detox then I cut out all red meat & ate only veggies, fruits, chicken and fish nothing fried only baked or broiled. I exercised 3 times a week mainly walking and a little cardio.

Have you ever noticed how the word "diet" contains the word "die"?
I don't know about diets but I know that we can eat anything we want and love.
Just reduce the number of times you bend your elbow at every meal and snack.
Enjoy your food, eat whenever you want.
Just don't bend your elbow so much.
And don't forget to park your car in the spot furthest from the entrance of any place you need to enter.
Good luck, and enjoy every bite of all the things you love to eat.
Just don't eat the whole box!
