I have a question about my ex. We broke up about 4 months ago but we have a lot of history.. We have known each other for about 8 years. Anyways he broke it off because we were having to many differences but he told me he still loves me and he probably always will because it isn't something you can turn off when you want. He told me that he thinks we should move forward right now and that he is afraid if we went back together this soon we would fall apart again and he can't take that again. he can't go through that seperation again because he got so depressed he almost ran into a 18 wheeloer. I know he isn't over me because for 1 he told me so and 2 he still gets intensely jealous when he thinks of me being with someone else. I don't understand why he thinks we should move forward, but he hopes one day we get back together. Please dont respond saying.. oh this guy is Lying. I know he isn't . I really do. He does believe we are soulmates, but right now he seems to believe we won't work.

I need to add something. PLEASE READ. I think he knows we won't totally ever let go of the other since what we shared.. we have always had something. We had broke up back in the day and lost contact and fate brought us back together and it didn't wokr, but he seems to think time will be good for us. I guess we will always be attached in some way or won't totally ever get over the other, but move on with life??? like continue to be able to do stuff without it hurting?

another thing. PLeeease Read =). If we both always hate to think of the other being with the other or thinking about them looking at another person the same way we looked at each other, does that mean we will never totally move on or let go.. I mean we might try to go on with life, but it will always be there right?

I have always felt that if a relationship is 'over', but it WAS the right guy, then it would somehow, after a few months or years, re-establish itself.

Let yourselves BOTH get on and try other friends/relationships. If you are MEANT to be together, God will bring you back to each other.

Hi there..
You just really sounded like me! Seriously.. Me and my ex was on n off for 8 years now. We have been through so many things.. I mean SO MANY.. We live in different countries because i am studying abroad. That made everything much harder. We always break up in winter and get back together with just 1 talk or email after months. This is fate. We both know that there wont be anything like this again. We are apart together and just saw each other 3 weeks ago. Same things happened. It is just attraction. Seriously meant to each other. But now I have bf and I had before when we broke up and he did as well.

So we moved on.. We had to because it was hurting so much that we had to get rid of each other. But you know what happened? We grew up and we didnt get back to each other until we really can be together. Now we are more mature and now what to do or not to do in our relationship because we moved on and had experiences with so many things. We are more full than ever. But still not the right time for us to get back.

So what I suggest you is to move on however you want. I really believe what you wrote here, so you really shouldn't worry about getting back together. If you really meant for each other, then you will be together no matter what. dont forget: experience in life is better for everything. Maybe you guys will sort out what was wrong in your relationship why you are separated. I know it hurts so much.. incredibly!!! painful.. you want to kill yourself, cry, call him.. but just wait for the best moments with him and experience it..

Good luck..
Lots of love for both of you and hope for the best about your relationship..

I truly believe in a grand plan in life determined for us by a greater being (call him God, if you believe ). If you are meant to be together, though much time and hurt may happen in the meantime, he will find a way for you to be together. A friend of mine is in exactly the same place (funny how many there are once you start talking about this) - they are currently not speaking because they can't handle seeing each other with other people. Yet, they both know, (as does everyone who knows them) they have a soul mate connection, and have decided to let things go for the time being. I sincerely believe they will reunite later in life when he has grown up a little and understands himself and their connection better. My advice is to hang in there... hard though that may be. My brother and his wife met and dated when they were 14 - both parted and dated many other people before they reunited and married some 15 years later...they've had a family and are still together 33 years later !! Keep the faith and trust in your inner feelings, and sooner or later your love will guide you back to the one who is to be your life partner... Love and good luck to you both

Your situation sounds a lot like mine. My first love and I go back since 1992 and on and off throughout the years we have kept in touch and lost contact but I recently contacted him, We have different lives now but I feel we will be together again if not in this life, then heaven because he is my soul mate also. Good luck to you guys, I do believe it will work out even if you need time apart, true love always finds it's way back!

Give him the time and space he needs. If you are meant to be ---you will be together again one day. I know it's not easy to let go but it's not going to work out any other way. Try your best to move forward. Hang in there.
