Why don’t we build a big wall at the border and send the Army and Marines to protect it?
LOL I told him I want to know the samething (as I’m dying with laughter inside). I keep this part of my life separate from my kids. I don't want them to think all Hispanics and Ceneral Americans break the law and all are illegal. When they are older I will explain the problem. Kids do not need to worry about this crap. I just thought it was interesting. He saw something on TV and asked me the above question.
So why doesn’t Bush and our lawmakers enforce the law and close all of our borders to ALL illegals?

11223344 ~ The fact that an 8 year old came up with the idea on his own, shows that it is a simple solution to a problem. Put up a wall and arm it.
I'll answer the other part of your answer on your question. :)

It would be so much easier to require the laws on employing them to be enforced and not let them rent or buy homes or cars without proper ID.
We can't even do these things as citizens without ID's and they are doing it all the time.
Don't let them work or get anywhere to live unless they are citizens-plain and simple. They will be running back home.

Out of the mouth of babes......
Don't you find it somewhat strange that your 8 year old son can see this - and we got so many in congress that can't?
Right now, the military thanks to Bush is so far flung all over the globe - I am not even sure if there are enough within the military to really do what your son suggests. Not saying that it is a bad thought - just not real practical at the moment with so many of our military all over the globe fighting in other countries civil wars.
The thing of it is that there are people that do have the job of seeing to the protection of our borders and the enforcement of the immigration laws - but their hands are tied (or they get sent to jail for doing their job).
I am with your son. Enforce the law. Protect American borders. Deport all illegals. Legal immigration should be the only thing accepted - any companies or people that hire illegals should be fined and jailed (one change that I would LOVE to see put into place in law).

I agree with your son. But there are a few obstacles we need to get rid of to make that a reality. Normal it would be the National Guard but most of them have been deployed over to Iraq and Afghanistan. The other obstacle is George Bush has illegally formed the SPP with Canada and Mexico and is building towards entering the NAU. He already lets Mexican truck drivers drive on our highways in dirty trucks, with insulation blowing off of their load. George Bush is not for building a wall. He won't even enforce our current illegal alien laws.
When Bush just recently toured South And Central America he didn't even call it illegal immigration or illegal aliens he called it MIGRATION!
We need to get rid of Bush, His stupid super highway, Mexican trucks on the highways of the USA, put and end to the SPP, Get rid of the NAU, say good-bye to the privately owned Federal Reserve, and stop volunteering our money to the IRS.
In the meantime everyone volunteer to build a frickin wall. Have a surveyor volunteer to stake out the fence line and start building a big *** cinder block fence. Forget waiting for the Government to do it, just start building a fence.
While the fence is going up the war can end and everyone is back in the USA safe. The National Guard can guard our borders.
We probably won't see any of this until we have the right new President.

Your son speaks a sound truth. We must become active in solving our own problems.
Why do you lock your car,why do you lock your home? To protect it from intruders or thieves. The illegal aliens are the intruders into this nation and they are stealing our rights and our resources.
They must be stopped, by first securing our borders and then building a wall/fence with our armed military to defend it.
Give your smart son a big hug from me....

You have a very smart son!
He's absolutely right - we must have the wall and extra protection to keep the criminals out. Illegal aliens are criminals because they are breaking the law.

It could be that simple but the US government and lobbyists won´t let it be that way. They´re too worried about political correctness and are allowing it to destroy our country.

If an idea is coming out of an 8 year old then its kind of scary to hear adults agree. This is why we dont have children running our government. I felt the need to reply to one of your answers so excuse me for using this space:
your answer is this:
"....
I hate they way they do it. I hate that they come here illegally and that they march in our streets demanding rights that belong to American citizens, not an illegal who snuck over our boarder. Why can't they march in their streets and DEMAND that their government straighten up or get the hell out? Why do they put up with corrupt people in high government positions? Why don't they burn THEIR flag in front of their government buildings and DEMAND that their corrupt government steps down? Why don't they fix their problems rather than making themselves our problem?
These people need to step up to the plate and take responsibility for their country and their lives."
Illegal immigration is nothing new..Its been happening since people across the country came to help create ours,we're just now complaining about it. Thats the great thing about our America. Everyone came from different worlds to build one great one. Now because of politics and many times racism we're turning our backs on the very people who helped build our home. Another great thing about the United States is that we have the right to protest on this land, no matter what race, sex, "insert any category discriminated now/at one time in history". So fighting or arguing against that is almost like fighting against the morals this country was built on. Categorizing illegal immigrant as one stereotype is wrong and illogical.

in response once again..
I actually have heard of these organizations (like the incident "la raza" had with another organization called the minutemen at columbia university..neither in my opinion a completey unbias group), but you know , on either side there are always going to be extremist groups and neither in my opinion are correct. And hey, i listen to kfi almost everynight before i go to bed..george and all those guys (that might be a little nerdy but i like to listen to both sides like you mentioned)
********
your response:
"
Totally agree but it needs to be done in an orderly manner. They can’t just come here and stay with you legally applying to do so."
Just look at history and how the first Americans have done things to claim our own independence, for ex: the boston massacre, and many other incidents leading to our revolution , they were never done in an orderly manner.
