can"t afford car repairs, repair cost more than the vehicle is worth, tired of driving the same old car, like the new look and features,

I traded mine in because the new model had more safety features and other luxeries that I wanted. There was nothing wrong with my older car, I just wanted more (now that I could afford it).
Some trade their car in because they do not want the hassle of trying to sell the car on their own time. It's easier, and sometimes you can actually walk out slightly ahead. Most of the time they will try to give you the very least for your car.

If they see something else they like. Tired of their vehicle. Some people trade in their vehicle because they can get a lower monthly payment than their previous payment.

For us we had babies, and needed something that seated 5 instead of 4.

tired of them, something is wrong with the old one. Impressed with the new ones, may want more options.

There are so many different reasons you couldn't list them all.
