actually, very few would say "word of Satan". you're generalizing

1) the Bible has mahny non-prophet authors. the New Testament has only one prophet writer (John) and the Old Testament has many books of King David and King Solomon, as well as Joshua, Moses, and close friends of the prophets.

2) 1 Qu'ran, yet the shiites and the sunnis fight.

3) In Christianity, seeing Jesus only as a prophet would be a heresy. Son of God (the son part of God)

4) you judge too much. christians might, but most Christians don't. by christians I mean those assumed Christians, such as Americans, though many are atheist

5) I see many contrasting things: "he begets not" vs "let US make man"; Jesus warned us not to get tied up in religion, Islam is mainly about rules.

6) no. Jesus' lineage is given. Muhammed is a descendant of Ishmael, while Jesus is a descendant of Isaac. if you want to argue with the Bible, get your facts straight.

7) give me the name of a Christian terrorist. jeez, forgive and forget already. we don't hate you. people just got the wrong idea at 9/11.

Although the Quran respects Jesus as a messenger of God, it clearly states that He is not the son of God. "Say: "God is Unique! God, the Source [of everything]. He has not fathered anyone nor was He fathered, and there is nothing comparable to Him!" (Quran 112:1-4).

Furthermore, it also states this: "Such was Jesus, the son of Mary; it is a statement of truth, about which they vainly dispute. It is not befitting to the majesty of God, that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it, ‘Be' and it is" (Quran 19:34-35).

This is against; I mean 100% against the Bible!! Please don't take this as rude, but the Bible does not say these things....John 3:16 says this: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten SON that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life" It goes on to say " For he sent not his SON to condemn the world but through him the world might be saved"
These are just two places speaking for and against Christ from both the Quran and the Bible. As you can see, just these two writings are completely opposite. Furthermore, let me show you something else in the Bible that speaks about somebody who says that Jesus is not the son of God. "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." 1John 2:22, 23

Also, the Quran states that Jesus was not crucified; Quran 4:156, and that God lifted him up alive and that they crucified Judas in Quran 4:157. This is also against the Bible where it tells that Jesus died on the cross for the redemption of our sins.

Please consider these truths, and May God Bless you and open your eyes to the truth.

I do see your point. The greatest and most important difference is this, Jesus is The Son Of God, not to be confused with a mortal man. The Quran in it's many truths to share does not share this important detail, however. Jesus said "No one knows the Father except the Son, and on one knows the Son except who the Father wills. Jesus is by Biblical truth The Mediator between us and God, yet the Quran teaches nothing of Him in this manner that I know of, yet I haven't read it, just what other Muslims have told me. I hope this helps you some and feel free to talk more with me on this. God bless you.

I believe that Quran is a beautiful and magestic book everyone should read. Mohammad a great and noble leader (and very progressive for his time, and remarkably peaceful given all of the circumstance surrounding the wars and world he was involved in). I cannot say if I do or do not believe in the Quran as scripture or Mohammad as a prophet, but I do believe that Jesus was divine (God incarnate on earth) so being Muslim is out of the question for me, but it is a beautiful thing and surely born of God and worships him perhaps with more reverance then any other religion on the face of the earth and therefore truly chosen and elected of God.

Rick S above: Ishmael and Issace Brothers were both ancestors of Jesus as they are all decendents of Abraham. (Abraham is the father of all monist religions and the original covenant is the covenant of all monist religions.) Not through Ishmael but the same bloodline.

I asked for and recieved a free copy of the Quran from CAIR, in the hope that, if I understood Islam better, I would not be so afraid of Muslim terrorism.
It hasn't really helped much, but I will try to answer your question, anyhow.
Nobody I know has ever said that the Quran is the word of Satan, although I have heard that it is nonsense. It is not nonsense, and yes, parts of it are quite beautiful. But there are also parts of it that do, indeed, advocate violence, terror, sexism, and downright nastiness. Sorry, but that is the truth.
I do not believe Muhammed was a prophet. I know you do, and I do not dispute your right to believe so.
UH...thea version I have is in English, although I can see the Arabic writing next to the English on the page. I am quite sure that, as with any translation, there are subtle differences in what I might mean when I say a phrase in English, vs what the Quran means when it has the same phrase in Arabic. Given time, I'm sure there will be paraphrases and new versions in order to help people better understand the Quran...at least, I should hope so, given the sheer volume of it. Remember, the Quran is several hundreds of years behind the Bible, and is only now being distributed to people outside of the Islamic faith.
If you truly respected Jesus, you would believe what He says about Himself in His Word, which is the Bible. You would know that He is not simply a prophet, but God incarnate. You would certainly not accuse Him of complilcity as to the crucifixion. I have always been puzzled as to how Muslims can, in good conscience, accuse Allah of creating a falsehood, anyhow.
Christians are not taught to respect Muhammed. But we do get a bit concerned when we see how his "fan club" reacts to some silly cartoons...come, come, children, I have seen much worse mockery of Jesus, without one Christian even spitting at anyone, much less shooting at them.
Yes, it is much easier for me to believe that God came down to earth, since that is just what He promised that He would do.
No, Ishmael was not a descendant of Jesus. Isaac was. My aunt or uncle is not my ancestor, but the brother or sister of my ancestor. Big difference.
I am afraid it is true, Muhammed does, in several places in the Koran, teach hatred. He also teaches gross sexism.
I have yet to see one single Christian flying any planes into any buildings or strapping bombs to themselves, or beheading anyone, or forcing their kids to commit suicide, or raping anyone because they didn't like her reading material, going on a rampage because someone turned a pig loose near their church, or drew an insulting picture of Jesus....
Have you?
I do not intend to be rude. I am learning that there are Muslims who sincerely believe that their religion is one of peace. I had a lovely conversation on the telephone earlier today with a man I am sure was Muslim (by his accent) who promised to pray to "The Almighty Father" for me....his way of saying that his God is my God, and that we are brother and sister. I was very touched by his attitude, and I also prayed to "The Almighty Father" for him.
I am explaining, as you asked, and I am asking, why do you not understand that, to Christians, you have committed a grave sin by a) claiming that Jesus is not divine, and b) accusing both Jesus and God of conspiring to fool the world into thinking He had been crucified while actually sending ANOTHER man to die in HIs place...a rather nice bit of confusing the truth for a deception?
Christians must tell you to repent of these grave offenses against God, it is what we sincerely believe. I hope you understand.
Peace.

Saying that your God teaches terrorism is not the most mature response, but you seem to be doing the same thing.

The reason that the relation between Mohamed and Jesus is "forgotten" is because a: it is not relevant and b: the only evidence for this is the Quran.

"Most Christians say...."

Where is the data to support that since most of the Christians I know have never said any such thing.

I have heard some Christians say that Muslims are following falsehoods, and I believe that since many Muslims follow leaders like Moqtada al-Sadr instead of following God.

Another thing I have heard from some Christians is that Muslims will go to hell because they do not accept Christ as the son of God.

Never heard that the Koran is the word of Satan. In fact, that would be contrary to the teaching of the Bible in 2nd Timothy 3:16 which tells us that all scripture is from God.

Of course you can make up any statistics or sayings you want to justify hate and terrorisim, if you want to.

although it may seem shoking, both religions worship the same god, and the same prophets!
BTW for the idiots "Allah" means God, just because they are not speaking english donsen't mean that thier god has a different name.
christians that say that thier relegion teaches terrorism, open your history books, christianity has caused the worlds worst wars, and christians have committed atrocities that are on par with terrorism, people only want to jump on the terrorism topic beacuse it is fairly recent history.
basically, cristians beleive this crap because of the cultural and political devide, not because of "eveidence" in the bible or otherwise.

I respect Islam, Muslims and Muslimahs deeply... I just disagree with the whole philosophy on a personal level. I'm not going to hack it over with you... you know what the various arguments are against alleged scientific claims of the Quran, etc. MY position is one of PEACE... you believe what you do, and if it teaches you wisdom and altruism, compassion, etc. then that is what's best for you. I don't go around expecting everyone to believe as I do nor agree necessarily. As long as people aren't causing HARM or SUFFERING via hateful speech, bigotry and arrogance, you can believe as you like. Peace... altruism... the logical choice.
