Flirting doesn't always mean something. It's a fun way of connecting with someone for at least a couple minutes. You can flirt with total strangers as easily as you can flirt with your friends. There's a line that needs to be crossed when flirting is indicative of actual attraction. Of course, that differs from person to person. Someone like me makes it obvious when the line is crossed. With others, it's a subtle shift.
If a girl flirted with you then acted the next day like it was any other day, then it was the casual sort of flirting that could be done with anyone. It's the type that doesn't mean anything.
