Scientific research has uncovered two different types of consciousness or "soul".

One is associated with a more materialistic or atheistic mentality, termed the "A soul " and the other is associated with a more spiritual, sensitive or religious mind, termed the "R soul ".

Do you think you are an "A soul" or an "R soul " ?

I'm not sure what I would be. I'd likely lean toward the A soul because I need some sort of proof or tangible evidence to believe what I believe. At the same time I do believe in a higher power and deities - just not in the Abrahamic or anthropomorphized sense. Rather - I term the universe and various aspects of the whole as deity.

"Scientific"? Who is the sponsor of this "research"? In what scientific journal does it appear? I just websearched "R soul" and got some links to a few music sites and not much else.

It seems awfully suspicious to unquestioningly link "materialism" with atheism, and "spritualism" and "sensitivity" with religiosity. I know some very materialistic and insensitive religionists, as well as some very discerning, abstract-thinking atheists. Where do people with cross-contaminated "souls" appear in the graphs of these "scientists"?

I remain an "S" soul, suspicious and skeptical of pat answers and simplistic categories.

I am a soul. I am an inner world of thought and feeling and I am an outer world of matter and time. At that inner level, I am actually 'larger' than the material world, yet the materialization of my soul types this answer. Both are legitimate perspectives.

In scripture, the term "soul" can mean intelligence, breath, to breathe, love, or the body plus the breath of life. Also, in the terms in which you speak, the Bible says very clearly that humans are a soul, not that they have a soul.
