Call your vet back and ask. That's what you pay him for. He should have given you some antibiotics.

I think you mean infection :-)
Yes, there's a lot of useless info on the internet - this is why vets don't like owners to turn to it! Your vet is the best person to go to for research, particularly for a problem as common as this, they will have seen it a thousand times in a thousand different ways. I have, and I've only been in the job a few years!
UTIs are most often a combination of factors including breed, age, weight, diet and general health. Some breeds are more prone than others, and UTIs are more of a serious problem in male animals. Dalmatians are the first breed that springs to mind when I think 'dog bladder problem'. Overweight also contributes to the likelihood of developing a UTI.
Diet is an important factor. I don't just mean the recalled foods - these caused kidney failure by the way. Some diets are better than others for helping the urinary tract - but any dog or cat can get them, some are just more susceptible than others. There are special prescription diets to help animals more prone to UTIs.
If you haven't already, you need to have a thorough chat with your vet about what treatment your dog is going to be on, and long term management to help and prevent this problem.

Urinary infections are caused by bacteria. Make sure your dog has fresh water every day. Did the Vet. give your dog medication to take for the infection? If so the medicine will help. Your dog may have accidents if it lives in the house. I hope you let the dog stay inside!!! Dogs live longer if they get to live with their family in the house!!
If your dog does not get better call the Vet. back or take your dog back.
The dog did not get the urinary infection from the food it eats.
If the food you are feeding your dog is on the list stop feeding the dog that type of food. That food could cause other types of problems.
Good Luck

Oh, cause it's UTI Urinary Tract INFECTION.. If you search on that you'll come up with something that you can use..
An infection isn't due to the dog food recall.. Did you question your vet more?? Did he give you antibiotics to give your dog?? Did he give you a diagnosis and you just turned around and walked away from him? Didn't ask any questions??

This is not caused from bad pet food. Mix yogurt in with your dogs food at each feeding for about a week. Use the yogurt with active cultures, any flavor is fine. My dog weighs about 70 lbs and I give her about 4 ounces twice a day. She loves yogurt.
I also tell my daughter to eat plenty of yogurt when she has a uti or a bout with thrush.

specific, you may actually provide dogs cranberry pills. a lot of those for dogs are 50g, and of direction the dosage will selection by using the dimensions of the dogs (see instructions on packaging for the pills). whilst some above say they won't help for incontinence, I disagree. If the incontinence is brought about by using a UTI or kidney an infection, the cranberry pills actually (in my journey) help with the incontinence. through fact the an infection disappears, so does the incontinence. be constructive to income the dosage! My community Petco, whilst their professional who studied dogs nutrients incredibly recommends them, does no longer carry them. The dosages of the pills in my community pharmacy are way too super (250 to 500g). hence, I get them organized on line. those are healthful to your dogs!

I have to ask what it is that you're feeding your dog? 9 times out of 10 it is due to commercial pet foods.
Please check to see that your pet food is not on the list. To view the latest updates to the recall, please visit http://www.mypethaven.com
Blessings to you and your pets,
Dawn

It's not caused by the pet food. The pet food causes kidney and liver failure which are spearate issues.
UTI's are common in females, especially puppies.
