why beer is good for people who got bad GAS?

My mom is 65 years old and she said she drinks beer
every once in a year because she gotta blech...

Don't that sound gross?

Is it true, beer help people with bad case of gas and
heartburn?

It GIVES me gas and heartburn (if I drink too much!)

Yes, it sorta works like Alka Seltzer. It causes a person to belch, thus relieving the gas.

Not to sound rude but I just don't know about that.. Only in the sence that "someone" I know has been known from time to time to get Beer farts. Very very unpleasant experience.
