AGAINST WHAT YOU DON"T AGRRE WITH?
I just don't think God is going to slice and dice anyone even if they are being foolish. One thing is for sure, we will have to answer to our remarks.

Very good question because Christ is not a weapon and never was he ever meant to be used in that way.

How would any of you feel if you were used as a weapon in a battle? (Note the word used. No one likes to be used.) I would hope not.

Even when Jesus was betrayed he never once resorted to violence. He restored his enemies ear. In fact this is what scriptures says:

Matthew 26:47-56
47While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the elders of the people. 48Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: "The one I kiss is the man; arrest him." 49Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed him.
50Jesus replied, "Friend, do what you came for."[d]

Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. 51With that, one of Jesus' companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.

52"Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?"

55At that time Jesus said to the crowd, "Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple courts teaching, and you did not arrest me. 56But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled." Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.

I think when any one does this it's like cutting off the hand that feeds them. (In other words if you are being feed by the spirit of God why would you want to cut off the teachings that he has taught us?) When we resort to this sort of behavior then how can love be evident in our lives?

We then become a clanging symbol.

Galatians 5:21-23
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

I find that when I look back on how I lived before I knew Christ I was a very different person all together but when I have come to know him after all these years one thing that sticks close to my mind is that when I see or hear of the things people do I remind myself that I too was once there in their shoes. That alone humbles me because I know what God has done in my life.

Amen sister!

Jesus himself said we will be answerable for our every word. He said what comes out of the mouth that leads one to sin.

In the case of our cyber community here, it's what comes off the keyboard.
