They're not. They just think that they are.

We as Christians are no longer judged by the past mistakes or sins like those not under the Blood, we are judged by what we do with our time, our words, etc. God will judge us by "what we did with our gifts." He gave us The Word, so did we study it? He gave us forgiveness, did we forgive others? He suffered for us, did we return the blessing by giving up our lives, desires and pleasures? Claiming Jesus and being a Christian are 2 very different things! thx.

Believers will stand before the judgement seat of Christ--only their works will be judged, whether the works were worthy or not. Salvation has already been assured.
Only unbelievers will stand before God at the White Throne Judgement--they will have already been condemned, it is here they receive their punishment.

I believe that it is MAN who does the judging. Not God. Not Jesus. They have compassion for our difficult journey here on planet earth. That is the meaning of love---true compassion for another. When you have compassion, you have acceptance. That means no judgement.

God chastens those he loves and purges sin from them. Without the sacrifice Jesus made to atone for our sin that wouldn't be possible, nothing would make us clean.

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
On judgment day Christians will receive rewards, everyone else will receive eternal damnation.
