How can we attract romance into our life by the help of "the Secret"?

The Secret is based on the "Law of Attraction" which states that personal "thought vibrations" can somehow impact your personal state of affairs. Simply put, the idea is that if you emit your positive thoughts into the universe you will be rewarded with whatever it is you desire.

First of all, calling this personal philosophy a "law" is misleading. Doing so implies it's been proved scientifically, like the Law of Gravity, which it isn't.

The Secret is the latest product released by self-help snake oil salesmen. A positive/negative attitude does not have a direct impact on the universe. It does not reach out and touch people, things or cosmic energies that you have had no personal contact with. There is absolutely no evidence to support this assertion.

There is anecdotal "evidence" that the Secret has existed for centuries. It's existence has been kept under wraps by those wealthy and powerful people who have used it. The author, through bald-faced speculation, connects people like Henry Ford, Isaac Newton and Winston Churchill who all have the Secret to thank for their success.

The real secret here is that the author has created a new version of New Age pseudoscience in the effort to make herself wealthy. I would call this book/DVD "the Miracle" because it's a miracle how so many people could fall for this garbage.

First of all it's God, proper noun. God doesn't just give you what you want simply because you wish for it, He's not a genie. You have to actually believe in him without sarcasm because He is a loving and jealous God, He wants to be your only one without exception. To give you an example say a Husband and a Wife are having marital issues and deep down inside they want to work it out. They shouldn't expect to find an envelope on the street with B&B, Movie and Dinner passes. No rather God would probably bring them closer through a crisis of sort that they would need to call upon one another and the glory of Gods love. This way they grow from the challange and come back together. No one really knows how Gods infinate and infaluable wisdom works, that's why He's a God. You are special in a way you've not yet discovered and through faith and devotion you'll quickly find out how you are special. It sounds corny but give reading the Bible a try, go to your library and grab a copy of the New American Bible (student version if they have it) and read the book of John for starter. It's a best seller so you know the stories are actually page turners. Say a quick prayer asking God to give you the wisdom to find your answers in the Bible. If you do decide to learn more please don't run off and join a "Mom & Pop" church, try an older religion (2000 years old or more) like the Catholic Church (Apostolic Sucession).
