My boyfriend and I have been fighting about this for a while. I have a 2005 Mustange and I love it. He wants the new Camero. But he loves gadgets and the weird cd player. He also says the suspention in my car sucks and it's too small (he has a '93 Cadillac now and is a big Caddy fan).
(BTW I'm on record as not being a Ford fan, I eally don't like Fords, just NEW and OLD Mustangs)

I was always a GM person but when I fist saw a 2005 'stang in the mall my heart stopped.

I too am a Mustang homer and I just love my 2006 Mustang GT. Unless your bf is going to track you car, his shouldn't care about the suspension. The 'Stang was built for the straight line.
Sound like your man is a GM fan and GM fans HATE Mustangs! I have no beef with the Camaro, but my loyalties are with the Mustang and will be there for the forseeable future.
Additional Details: The suspension doesn't feel like a caddy because the Stang is not a Caddy!! If he want the caddy feel, he should get a Caddy.
Mustangs and Camaros are both pony cars. Built for speed and power, not comfort. If he thinks the Mustang suspension sucks, then he won't be a fan of the Camaro either because it will be just as stiff.

It really depends what you're into. The Mustang is much more affordable, parts are cheap. Also the aftermarket support is very large. There are a large amount of cheap and high quality performance parts. Also the interior, and the power-train is higher qaulity on the Fords. Essentially the Ford is the popular saavy choice.
Camaros are more designed fore the performance oriented market. The Camaro can run circles around Mustangs. From a perfomance stand point the Camaro is far superior. And this is coming from a Ford guy. I've never owned a Camaro but everyone I know that has, has had a variety of mechanical problems. Also their interiors are falling apart too.
So therefore the Mustang V. Camaro argument is simply a matter of preference. Food for though here though. The Mustang did drive the GM Camaro & Firebird line into extinction for a few years. Therefore it would lead you to believe that Ford is doing something right by the Mustang

different strokes for different folks. If he is trashing your Mustang, what makes his 93 Caddy any better? Take his car instead of yours if he is so up on 14 year old Caddy's.
BF's come and go, but you will have your car for a while, so get what you want, and enjoy it. Have him check out the new Shelby's and see what he has to say. good luck.

Then you have to admit it girl you are a Ford fan. & a Ford lady will never work with a GM Man. So Either dump him or go Import to fit bot of your needs ( a better compramise)
