why can't you just admit you did something wrong, that you knew was wrong, but you did it anyway because you wanted to? is it that hard to take responsibility for your own actions?

no, satan doesn't do anything. he doesn't tempt. people tempt you. when someone is being alluring to you that person is doing that. that person is taking responsibility for those actions. if someone's wallet is in their pocket and you steal it. satan didn't put that wallet in that person's pocket to tempt you. you're just a thief for stealing a wallet. stop blaming satan.

people, stop blaming some made up being for your own mistakes. there is no such thing as satan. it is your own choice to do what you want to do. do you think a court of law is gonna care if satan made you do it? no! they're gonna think you're crazy and lock you up.

I just have to respond to this response: "you are very right. all satan does is provide the temptation...WE take the action. our sins are OUR fault."
Well, ya see junior, that's exactly the same thing. You take the action, but Satan provides the "temptation." You're still pawning the responsibility of conduct off on some imaginary abstraction from your ideas about "evil." Think about it just a little more! It's not a big leap to the realization that "Satan" and "God" are merely personifications of the purely relative and subjective concepts of "wrongdoing" and "righteousness" respectively (or vice-versa, if you're a "Satanist"; it's all a matter of words).

Hey, hey, hey slow down, Missy. Why go taking away all of Satan's street cred like that? He may not be the "reason" humankind engages in "sin," but I happen to know he gets a commission on each sin committed and---apart from all the law firms---it's his only source of income, so lay off.

Human beings need to stop passing responsibility on to others and strive to grow to be better than we are! We certainly have a lot of potential for the better stuff. Lets loose this revenge and degradation thing! Lets mature and cultivate wisdom and all the enriching things that our precious human lives have to offer! Think what we could do...what we could become! WOW!
Peace and fulfilment for all!

Satan presents the evil or wrong doing in the form of temptation. Just as we have free will to make a choice to follow Christ, we have the free will to make the choice not to give in to temptation.

Our conscience has two voices. Good and bad. Light and darkness. Faith and Fear. God and the devil. We choose but Satan tempts.

Satan is a good tool used to justify the wrongdoings of the do-gooders. ;)

I think this is one of the biggest problems our society is facing right now. The majority lack self-responsibility and accountability.

i don't blame him for my actions. The only thing is he's the tempter and very strong at his job. He can make people choose wrong choices. Either way he still sucks.

Most people don't. But most people usually don't openly admit when they're wrong either.
