What would the charges be?

And I don't mean the fairy tales like the imaginary flood and the Tower of Babel.

I mean the things he ordered the Israelites to do, acting as their 'leader' or General.

How would he stand up in a court of International law?

Here's a thought.

Maybe Jesus was paying for his own, or his father's sins, and not anyone else's.

Tried and Executed.

Genocide (Sodom, Gomorah, the flood, Leviticus 27:29, 1 Chron 21:2, and a number of other cases)

Infanticide (Exodus 12:29)

Infanticide and rape threats (Isaiah 13:16-18)

Vandalism (Deut 7:1-6)

Torture/murder of children with bears (2 Kings 2:23-24)

Slavery (Lev. 25:45-46, Gen. 9:25, Joel 3:8)

Killing endangered species (the flood)

Assault (threatening to throw dung on people's faces in Mal. 2:3)

Murdering pregnant women (Hosea 13:16)

Offering his blessing as incentive to those who commit infanticide (Psalm 137:9)

Cannibalism (Lev 26:29)

Numerous beheading incidents.

Of course, if you also look at the New Testament, there are quite a few more:

Child Neglect - He could have done something to stop his son from being killed, but did not.

Statuatory Rape - Mary was only about 13 according to most scholars

It's a good thing International Law does not apply to him.

How can anyone compare Saddam Hussein to God? There's such a vast difference.

God wasn't the general. Moses and Joshua were the early leaders of the Israelites.

Let me see If I got this right...You don't believe in the bible and for those of us who do you can't understand how we could logically believe in some of the stories of the bible. And If these verses are true what type of God do we serve?

Not sure what type of background you come from or what's your perspective on God is but for those of us who have experienced his presence in our lives and those of us who have found truth in bible which have touched us and given us hope it is relativity easy to accept these stories as actually events.

For the skeptic remember the Christian God is an all powerful God with a finite mind not an infinite mind like ours which can only reason on the limited knowledge we obtain.

Our faith is not blind but it takes this orginal leap of faith before God will start to unravel the questions we ask.

That's an odd idea to wrap my mind around... putting God on trial? I suppose if that were possible, he would never be on trial here on Earth. I would assume that a society of other god-like individuals of which our God was a member of would put him on trial.

That'd be like you owning an ant farm, the ants gaining sentience, and then putting you on trial. You're above that, just as God is over us.

Not that I'm religious, I'm only saying from an objective point of view.

I think god should be brought up on charges for the flood as well. Murdering every man, woman, child, and beast on the planet except the lucky few?

Or what about murdering the firstborn of egypt. . innocent children!

Or Killing Job's family.

Or Sodom and Gamorah (sp)

Or every other atrocity in the old testament.

God deserves hell more than any human in history. But I guess he killed his son so it's ok
