You need medical attention NOW! It is not normal to have a headache for "a couple of weeks." You need to find out what's going on.

An ongoing headache can mean many different things. But the location of the headache and the frequency really tells it all.

According to where you said your head hurts, it appears to be a sinus headache. Unlike migraine headaches where you are sensative to light and/or sound, a sinus headache tends to hurt in the front part of your head and/or over your temples. If you may notice if it hurts more in the morning and late out night, it comes from your exposure to pollen, grass, weeds, etc. (whichever allergy that you might have but did not know), those are the times where you body tries to fight the allergy the most. When you go outside in the morning them go to school/work and inside the building, if you head starts to hurt within the first 15 to minutes while being indoors, it is coming from your outside allergies. And late at night after coming in and getting settled, if it hurts a bit then....it's allergies.

But if you have a constant headache that is like someone squeezing all the way around your head with both hands, that would be a blood pressure/hypertension headache. If that is the case you would want to get a check of your blood pressure and monitor your reading. If it is elevated over your base line, you would need to consult a physicain to monitor it and possibly be put on medication to control it.

And too....if you have had any dental problems (tooth ache), your headaches could come from that too). Along with any visual/eye problems.

So.....as you can see, there are many different ways and areas as to where your headache can come from. Try to monitor your headaches while on Advil, Tylenol , Alieve, etc. Notice when you get them, how they feel, how long they last, and what your activity is at the time. These would all be questions a doctor will ask you to help to determine the source of your headache and the most effective treatment. But by all means, if you still have one now, it's time to seek some medical attention.

Good luck to you!!!!

i would see a doctor, if you have a headache like you've never had one before, that is the sign of an aneurysm, it's a "soft" spot on an artery that can burst or have a slow bleed. call a dr, even better, go to the ER ASAP!

Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

If sinus medication and tylenol haven't helped, see a chiropractor! Sometimes it's tension, or strees, a good adjustment should help! If nothing happens afterwards, I'd consult a doctor and get a CT scan to see if theres nothing else wrong! Good luck!

You should definatly see a doctor. Are you trying to quit something? I know when I haven't had caffeine in a few days, I get really bad head aches. But, seriously, see a doctor/

Have you seen the doctor about it? Why don't you do that if not. In the meantime, drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. Try an ice pack on your head too.

is it an ongoing headache? like its here, then its not, then its here again? you try taking asprin? are you stressed? are you laying down a lot? if so, you may need to pick up an activity and move around, get the blood pumping up there. if you have daily stress, you may need to relax a little. if none works, you may need to see a doctor.

sorry... and good luck!

If it's been hurting for that long you probably should see a doctor. Could be serious.
