I'm flying to Rome in 2 weeks and i don't want to ENTIRELY sound like a babbling idiot since i am going to TRY and speak Italian. (I've heard Italians are quite nice when we try.)

As already posted here above if you say simply 'galleria' in Italian it also means any kind of tunnel.
Therefore you should quote in your question gallery's name or if you don't know it you should say "galleria d'arte".

Mi può dire per favore dov'è la Galleria Borghese ?
or

Yulia's right; I'd just recommend you to specify which "galleria" are you referring to! I suppose you mean a museum (like Galleria degli Uffizi), but remember "galleria" is also Italian for "tunnel" (every kind).
