I give mine a box show her the box and she automatically goes in there to have the babies. She has given birth 3 times now. She is an outside cat but we bring her in to have babies. I did have another female cat that go prego and she had them in the laundry shoot in the basement, on top the dirty clothes.
They like it in dark area's with just enough light for them to see the babies. This way they feel hidden. They also like tight spots with more than one exit. When I gave mine a box it was a closed box that I cut 3 holes in for her.

i think pretty much anywhere as long as it is dark and secluded,. i found some kittens in my stockroom at work, they were in a whole bunch of stuffed animals lol, but the mother was no where to be found and she did not comeback that we know of, so we had to take the kittens. anyways they are born pretty much anywhere im sure if you put a box in a warm dark place she will go there, but just to let you know dont mess with them for a while after birth. b/c if they are moved from the place of birth, or if they smell like human then the mother will kill them. it may be different with domestic cats if they are use to your smell, but, i am not sure so i would be careful.

well when a cat is welcome to go out side it will normally find a quiet soft wooded area then the cat will usally bring the babys home after a few weeks unless u find it. if the cat is indores only it will normally hide under a bed or even in a dryer or washer alwase check for cats before doing loundry

pretty much where ever especially when they dont no it cuz one time i had a chair that was really nice well reallly comfortable and i would let her sleep in it and stuff cuz my cat liked it too so then when i was out and my aunt was watching my sis she saw that my cat had something in her mouth and was on my chair and ran under the bed and thats where she had it so if your cat is gonna have kittens just keep your house EXTRA clean and make sure nothing important is on the floor or out

My cats given birth twice, and if your cat is anything like my cat, she will want it to be somewhere you will be. Sometimes cats want to know that there will be more than one "mommy" taking care of the kittens, and if they are say, on your porch or in your living room, they will feel most comfortable, and it will give you a chance to meet the new litte furballs, make sure everything is ok with them, and fall in love with them instantly. :)

My grandma used to have wild cats that had babies behind the wood pile or under the porch.

Cats have there babies anywhere it is quiet, warm and hidden away. Some examples are airing cupboards, sheds, under floorboards and preferably enclosed.
