If you are breastfeeding, and haven't had a period, I wouldn't worry about being pregnant again just yet. You can get pregnant without having your period, but I don't think it happens often unless you're bottle feeding. Most moms can go without a period (and without getting pregnant) for as long as they breastfeed, even beyond two years, but I am not one of those. I get my period back at 8-10 weeks, and often am pregnant by the next month. LOL! My midwife says that often you won't be ovulating regularly for several months after you get your first period, so it can be hard to know when to protect, but I guess that wasn't really your question. I doubt you are pregnant, though.

If you haven't had a period but are having unprotected sex, then YES!!!! you could be pregnant. It happened to me. The doctor was unconcerned that I wasn't having periods and wouldn't prescribe birth control until I started again. He told me pregnancy would not be an issue. WRONG!!!! When I decided enough was enough and got a pregnancy test, this same doctor told me the reason I wasn't starting my period was because I was pregnant again (and yes I was breastfeeding)! Be safe, get tested and get birth control.

If you are breastfeeding this could be why . Sometimes it takes up to 3 months after having your child to get your cycle back on track . Have you started your birth control yet ? if you have then that can be a main cause also. I wouldn't stress till your baby is 3 months old .If you are breastfeeding you can go without a period till you stop breastfeeding your child .Good luck .

Your medical expert is criticizing her weight at 7 weeks already? Yikes! She's a newborn! She sounds like she's precise on par for her birthweight, to me. My son develop into 8 kilos 9 oz. at delivery and by the time he develop into 8 weeks, he develop into just about 14... now he's 17 months and 27 kilos and 35 inches tall... he's not obese for his top in any respect. babies substitute plenty while they're that youthful that as long as you're purely feeding her while she's hungry and letting her feed as long as she needs, I see no reason to be bothered only because of the fact she would not fairly stack as much as an arbitrary extensive type on the medical expert's place of work. you have a healthful infant with a healthful urge for nutrients... get excitement from her and look at out to not complication too plenty approximately her weight... it particularly does not count at this element.

Are you breastfeeding, because that will definitely delay your period and if you doctor had no concerns at your 6 wk checkup chances are you are not pregnant, because the doctors usually check that sorta thing out. I used to be a materinty nurse so I am familiar with this topic.

This doesn't necessarily mean you are pregnant. I didn't have sex at the 6 weeks mark (long story) and still didn't start until almost 9 weeks after I had my baby. Every body is different and yours will start when it is ready again (unless of course you are pregnant)

That's not abnormal at all. If you are breastfeeding full time ...the breastfeeding itself suppresses ovulation. I went 5 months after having both my 2 children without having a period. It won't hurt you.

It is unlikely that you are pregnant but It can happen. What I would do is wait about 2 weeks and take a early pregnancy test. More than likely your body is out of whack but believe me it can happen although my daughter was 5 months so I guess if you want a baby go for it - if you want to be sane (unlike me) prevent it! LOL. Good luck.
