MUSLIM WOMEN...STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN ---
What do you see when you look at me?
Do you see someone limited, or someone free
All some people can do is just look and stare
Simply because they can't see my hair
Others think I am controlled and uneducated
They think that I am limited and un-liberated
They are so thankful that they are not me
Because they would like to remain 'free'
Well free isn't exactly the word I would've used
Describing women who are cheated on and abused
They think that I do not have opinions or voice
They think that being hooded isn't my choice
They think that the hood makes me look caged
That my husband or dad are totally outraged
All they can do is look at me in fear
And in my eye there is a tear
Not because I have been stared at or made fun of
But because people are ignoring the One up above
On the day of judgment they will be the fools
Because they were too ashamed to play by their own rules
Maybe the guys won't think I am a cutie
But at least I am filled with more inner beauty
See I have declined from being a guy's toy
Because I won't let myself be controlled by a boy
Real men are able to appreciate my mind
And aren't busy looking at my behind
Hooded girls are the ones really helping the Muslim cause
The role that we play definitely deserves applause
I will be recognized because I am smart and bright
And because some people are inspired by my sight
The smart ones are attracted by my tranquility
In the back of their mind they wish they were me
We have the strength to do what we think is right
Even if it means putting up a life long fight
You see we are not controlled by a mini skirt and tight shirt
We are given only respect, and never treated like dirt
So you see, we are the ones that are free and liberated
We are not the ones that are sexually terrorized and violated
We are the ones that are free and pure
We're free of STD's that have no cure
So when people ask you how you feel about the hood
Just sum it up by saying, 'Baby its all good!'

Personally I see some (although few) things of value in the Islamic religion. I respect their beliefs,. I just personally do not agree with most of it. Two years ago I did a research paper on the roots of Islam. The reason they are so violent with one another, is that the fundamental roots of this religion are disputed amongst the many factions of Islam. They fight with eachother to try and drown out different beliefs within their own religion. It's sad really. There has never been a religion in my opinion, in world history that has been distorted to such a great extent. Until Islam recognized one beggining and one final value system, unfortunately it will be more of the same.
As for a women in Islam, Ibelieve they should be given a choice to live under the rule is Islam or not. Unfortunately this goes against the very foundation of the religion itself, so this will never happen. All this being said, I do repect their beliefs and their way of life even if I do not fully agree with it.

I don't know about Muslim girls generally, but I know Persian girls are beautiful = ) I am not religious myself, but I see many people taking comfort in their religions, including Islam. I am not happy about any kind of fundamentalism, whatever religion it may be, nor am I pleased with people who try to convert me.
When I look at a Muslim girl, I don't see her religion, though when I see a veiled girl, I wonder if she wears it by choice. The Koran does not say anything about wearing a veil. The veil is an interpretation of a passage that asks women to cover their bosom and men to dress modestly.
Edit: In reference to the veil, I am talking about hijab. My view might be skewed as I have studied Islam from the Iranian feminist perspective = ) Many women in Iran are opposed to hijab, feeling oppressed by it; others are not. I don't care as long as they are happy wearing it.

I'm sure I've passed by many muslim girls without knowing whether they were muslims, Christians, atheists or whatever. If you were referring to those who wear a head covering that identifies her as muslim, I would just wonder where she's coming from, spiritually. I'm sure they wear it for many different reasons-ie. family tradition, fear or pressure from some other person, a desire to please someone they care for or simply a personal religious motivation. I actually appreciate it when I can identify someone visually as a non-Christian because it's a chance to pray for that person's soul.
I feel sorry for anyone who has not read the Bible for themselves. Accepting Jesus as my Lord, and His blood, and making a decision to follow His teachings has been the best thing that's ever happened to me.

I believe the Islam religion is vary dangerous to society, and when I see a Muslim woman total oppression comes into my mind, I cannot believe that our society has allowed this religion to prosper like it has, with the murderous terrorist activities that all Muslims condone and continues to this day. Oh there are those that say they are peaceful but in their hearts they all agree with what is going on in the Islamic world and what the Koran tells them to do.

I don't think much about the Muslim religion, when I see a Muslim girl I want to liberate her from oppression, I see the often heavy eye make-up that suggests a yearning to be seen as a sexual being, I feel that Muslim religion is an oppressive religion.

islam is the religion of peace, love and dignity, and the rel muslim girl isn't suppose to be veiled, im muslim, and i love my religion, and at the same time islam respects the other religion, but unfortunatelly today we are witnessing terrorists who speaks in the name of islam and giving non- muslim people a false definition of islam, they are presenting islam is the religion of terrorism, Islam means al salam,(peace),
Have a good day

I think the religion of Islam is a false religion, and that those who practice the religion are subject to judgment from the Creator. When I see a muslim girl I have no different feelings because of her chosen religion, just as I have no different feelings for the many non christians in my environment. The fact that I do not agree with Islam is no license for me to wish harm on another, or bring harm on another. I just wish that some of the Muslims would see it the same way, but experience has taught me that they will not.
